Java updated again and now I can't get into the chat room. Anybody else having this issue? Any idea's on how to make it work? I am running chrome and windows 7. Any help would be very much appreciated!!!

Uninstall your old java, you might have multiple conflicting files because they don't uninstall each other when they update.

Restart your computer.

IF it doesn't work google Java Toolkit 7 (the update is like .45 or something) and install that. The toolkit version usually works right then the regular java which is never functional on release.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and then restarted my computer. Where do I find the toolkit at?

I saw the title of this thread and initially thought Starbucks had wronged you somehow... it just goes to show how I am sooo not technically inclined

Hope it starts working for you again soon!

Well Starbucks is the evil empire so I could see how you would think that!!!

Don't uninstall the java you just installed, you have to go into the control panel and make sure you don't have 3-4 more java scripts clustered further down.

Also can i see the error message you're getting? Screen cap please?

 it is!! I do love their cinnamon dolce lattes tho... they are my weakness.

yay to Carissa saving the day!! :bigthumb:

Don't do it!!! They are truly evil!!! They sold our Sonics out of town!!! I will never forgive Howard Schultz for that!!!

:D I glad it worked. I have Java problems all the time, and have 3 computers and different OS' on each one makes me flip tables all the day xD

:bowdown:You are my Hero!!! Now I owe you one!!!

ok. so tonight it is doing it to me. I am completely computer illiterate when it comes to updates and such, so I always click "later" or "ignore" if possible.

The problem is, now that I clicked "later"... it wont open at all, AND it doesnt give me the option to go forward with the update now at all.

So, can someone with the know how please PM me directions to fix this problem? PM me. If you just reply on here, I will get all confused somehow.... Yeah, I am THAT awesome at computers.

Restart your computer, when it pops up again hit "ignore"

ALWAYS hit ignore or don't block on the chat room pop up. If it's a site you don't trust DONT'T do that, but for the DPF chat room there's no bugs or anything.

Well, I set my Java security setting to medium and added dpf to my allowed site, but I'm still getting an error.

I'm assuming if I add the client16.addonchat.com address to my safe pages, I'd be good, but I don't recognize that page and I don't necessarily trust it.

I've been having the same issue. when it says security settings, it doesn't say WHICH security settings, so I was all over the programs, even going as far as disabling and re-enabling one by one to figure it out, and yet its still non responsive. as for adding the page, it doesn't help as far as I could tell. I tried that road already. but this isnt the first program in the rodeo and wont be the last

That's the same message I am getting. I am guessing that DPF uses that as a chat function. I will see what happens when I add it.

Just hit ignore on the pop up, it will ask you everytime you're in chat

I've done that before and it worked. Now it doesn't. And I added that to the safe domains and still got an error message, this time saying it was on a different domain. I'm going to check IE...
