Howdy again folks! OK, I understand that some time has to pass by before I am no longer considered a newbie. But I would LOVE to be able to post on the 'For Sale/Wanted' forum for my grail pins.

Any advice would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Dave

I think that's kinda lousy (the 30 posts thing). I was going through an old box of stuff from my moms and found old pins I had bought at WDW in the 1980's (at the opening of MGM Studios, 1988). I am assuming that there is a pin collector out there who would really appreciate these old pins (I don't do pin trade), is there another avenue for selling old pins? I don't even know what they're really worth. I have a Roger Rabbit in love pin, a Minnie Mouse pin (#1909) and a Minnie mouse in a star pin #6772 (I looked those #'s up on another site, so I don't know if they're universal numbers or not) from the opening of MGM Studios. Are any of these worth anything to anybody, or should I just put them back in the box for another 20 years? lol. I don't want to trade pins, but I've held on to these ones for so long that I do want them to go to someone who will appreciate their age. I think they should make it easier for folks who aren't into trading like me to get their pins into the hands of collectors who want them. I guess is eBay the standard avenue for doing that?

There didn't used to be this rule until "newbies" came in and flooded the trade/sale boards with advertisements and spam. But if you stick around and introduce yourself, respond to people's posts, etc., people get "to know" you and may feel more comfortable buying from someone new.
