Leave well enough alone (Image Heavy)

Hello everyone,
So this afternoon i got a nice surprise


my Reagan library pin came in the mail
BUT
when i opened the book i found this



The mirror was scratched which made me upset

but i noticed it was simply a small piece of plastic film on it to protect it.

So i carefully began to peel it away but fate had something else in mind..



The mirror fell out!!

It started making sense why these pins were on sale now, but the backside of the mirror still had glue residue.
So i placed it back in the pin and it worked



My pin got its happily ever after, and i learned i should have left it as it was.

Wow! but thats good it all came together and worked out! yay! but may I ask did yours arrive waped up or not wrapped I ordered some through the mail and they were all tossed in 2 bags to bump, rub, and slam into each other, some have scratches/ gouges on the inside pic, ugh these were going to be gifts! im embarased to ship, but I know the receiving will will be happy but probably disapointed.

oh im sorry thats unfortunate to hear, i only got 1 pin and it was well wrapped in bubble wrap. im sure the people you were going to send it to will understand, its not your fault they got damaged.

When I bought them at the gift shop I freaked out over the scratches and they told me it was a film cover, but I havent tried to remove it. They also wrapped them nicely in tissue when I bought them there.
