UPDATE: Bag found!
So, I got the news last Sunday that the Contemporary had found my bag (despite a very early e-mail saying they hadn't, but they were still looking). So I go Sunday night to pick up up, and I'm told that they don't have it. Please note...I made a special trip to WDW because I was so relieved that they had found it.
The next day, I got a call from their Lost & Found department saying they DID have it, and they weren't sure why the front desk people didn't just...look. So, okay. Annoying, but still better than never seeing the bag again. I asked them to hold it until today, because I knew that I would be down for the R/C release.
So the bag was fine, all the pins were still in there- super yay! Now the part I hadn't told anyone yet...
The bag was my grail bag.
That one bag had a TON of "money" in pins in it. I would have been so screwed if it had never turned up. So whoever turned it in, whether it be Disney employee or hotel guest or fellow pin trader...thank you times infinity!
Gather round, kiddies, while Auntie Nicole tells you the story of how not to be a dumb@$$ while pin trading...
So, even though I've lost bags before, I never got around to putting my name and contact info in my bag anywhere. Mistake number 1. Lesson learned, I'm not going to another event without my info inside all the bags.
Lesson #2- Make sure all your bags fit inside your carrying case (if it applies). I don't think I would have lost it if I hadn't been bursting at the seams of my little cart.
and the obvious Lesson #3- Do a check around you before you move on. Now, generally speaking, I do this anyway. But it seems like I need to up my game. It's not the first time I've wandered away from a table and left something behind. Once, my purse. Once, my event pick-ups bag...sodas, etc. I just really need to compensate for my old age here or something.
Original Post:
Sigh.
Did anyone turn in a pin bag at the WDW PTN on February 28th? Or hear that one was turned in? Or maybe picked it up themselves?
Waiting to hear back from the Lost and Found company, but I just wanted to put feelers out in case someone saw something.
