Maleficent collectors, can you help me? I pride myself in being able to spot scrappers...but I think I might have ended up with one today.
Does anyone have a Maleficent pin from the "Being Bad" series that they purchased from the parks?

This pins has been reissued at least twice and I see so many different dates, fonts and nub or no-nub variations out there that I am not sure what to think!

Here is the good:
Glossy smooth coating.
Correct colors on all the inlays. For example, there is gold in the birds claws and beak, pink in her ring, etc.
There is a cut-out in the right place between the dragons neck and wing.
It has a cut-out on the right hand side swirl (if that makes sense)
It is not magnetic (this pin is dated 2005) in the early days most and I stress most, authentic pins were not magnetic. However, this is not always a fail safe test...

Here is the bad:
MADE IN CHINA font not too crisp.
A few sellers on a certain auction site have more than one for sale.

Things I've noticed. Versions of this pin without good enamel fill colors have a script "Disney" copyright logo. The pins with good color fill have the printed font.
Versions with nubs have the print style font copyright. I can only find one or two pins showing nubs. Most are no nubs.

This pin is all over the place!

I feel like it might be a scrapper - but I just have no idea - so would love to hear from someone who might know.

Hi. I am not an expert on scrappers, counterfeits, or release variations. So I can’t advise on your pin.
But I do have this pin that I bought at DLR when it was first released.
Hope these pics help. Lmk if you need more specific images of anything

@Poohlady5 thank you sooo much. Is your pin from 2004? I think I see that it has a script style Disney logo. Is that right?
