Moderater approving post?

Last night I started a new thread in pin discussion, and it said a moderater needed to approve it before it would be posted. Over 12 hours later and it's still not there. Why would my post need to be approved?? Between this and not being able to post in marketplace, this forum is not feeling very welcoming to a relatively new poster (but not new user). When will my post be approved? For how long will all my posts need to be approved?

Thanks, but it wasn't in the marketplace, it was in pin discussion. The marketplace issue was something separate.

This has always been my name, what I meant is that I've been a member since last June, I just haven't posted much. The restrictions are making it difficult for me to do so now that I'd like to though.

ohhh sorry, thats weird :/ Maybe you should just do another 24 more posts so the restriction is let up on you? the parameters might be wider than just the marketplace then? I'm not sure.

What part of the discussion board were you trying to post in?I know theres only one...but it has to be somekind of flub there..hummm

It was in the main Disney Pin Discussion. I tried posting a picture of a few pins I haven't been able to identify on pinpics, hoping people could help. I don't know if it's because there was a picture? It said a moderator would have to approve it before it was posted. I'll PM one of those people you mentioned, thanks.

I know there's been quite a delay on a response to this, but the moderation queue is a function of our anti-spam measures we've installed on the forum.

It will randomly select posts to place in the moderation queue for approval, just as a safeguard against spamming. I'll have to check into the settings to see if there's anything I can do about that, as we havent had too much of a problem with spammy posts so much as a problem with spam registrations in the past.

Since we've installed the anti-spam modification, though, we've seen a lot less people reporting posts/threads for spam, so we're (generally) happy with how it's working at the moment, but I will look into making it a little more lax so as to make new posters' experience better.
