Hello everyone. Its been a while since I have posted on the forums, but I am having an issue with a Disney Store order that I need advice on at the moment.

So as most of you probably know by now, Frozen comes out on Blu-ray and DVD March 18th, which is this Tuesday. Because of this, the Disney Store has already begun shipping out orders so they can get them to people on time for release. Now, I personally wanted to cancel my order because I could get it at somewhere like Walmart or Target for a much cheaper price (I could get it for around $20 to $25 at those places as opposed to the $31 to $32 that I would have to pay all together with my pre-order from the Disney Store's website). When I asked, they said that it was in the process of shipping, so it was impossible to cancel at this point, but they would still try. I was fine with them not being able to cancel it if they couldn't, and I got a confirmation email a few days later (around Wednesday or Thursday I believe) saying it had been shipped and the money to pay for it was taken out of my PayPal account.

Here is where I am confused though. Whenever I click on my tracking number, it says the number doesn't exist or its a broken tracking number. I contacted Disney Store customer support about this, and they said that due to the very large amount of orders that went through, it was probably taking a while for the postal service to process all the orders and I shouldn't have to worry. Its been 3 to 4 days since it was shipped and im still having the same problem. Shouldn't they have information for it by now? Even weirder is that the product is being shipped by USPS when normally these releases are shipped to me via UPS.

Is it possible my order was cancelled and that I just never received my money back? I know the Disney Store has been known for having errors like this so I am a bit torn on what to do. I know that in reality it probably isn't that big of an issue, but I couldn't help but wonder. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

By the sounds of it the order was not cancelled and did in fact go through. The tracking for the bluray's do not appear to work, everyone I have spoken to that have ordered the bluray told me that theirs do not work either. You should be getting the bluray on Monday if they were shipped late last week. I actually received mine and the tracking never worked.

Yes it is cheaper in other locations but you do get the lithographs and a coupon of up to 20% off for your next Disney Store purchase.

I preordered the Frozen Blu-ray in store, not online, but I have preordered other Disney Blu-ray movies in the past. They generally ship movies by USPS, not UPS, and last time I mail ordered a movie from them, the tracking didn't work either. But I got the movie anyway. I believe that is because it is shipped through a third-party partner of USPS, so tracking it not available for such shipments (even if there is a tracking number given to you).

I often have USPS tracking numbers that don't update for several days. Also, Saturday and Sunday don't count because they aren't business days.

A-ha! So that is what happened to my Blu-ray! I called the Disney store and they told me it could be lost but give it a few days. I guess the cast member didn't know about the problem. I wasn't too worried, thinking it would get to me eventually or else they could always resend, but I'm glad to know this happened with everyone's order and it is not lost!

They probably have not shipped the blu rays yet, because they don't want anyone to get them before the 18th... thus tracking numbers do not work yet.

If you do get it, maybe try to go to your local disney store and they can probably refund you there... if not, you may have to ship it back to DS.COM.

Well the bluray orders were actually fulfilled around Tues/Wed last week with several people receiving their blurays before the weekend, myself being one of them. I don't think Disney would mind as much since they already released the digital copy of the movie on iTunes anyway.

I wouldn't recommend shipping it back to DS.com unless you contact guest services at the Disney Store first and they agree to it or else it may end up getting lost as there is no way that the Disney Store will be able to track the mailed item to your case/order especially if they are not expecting it.

Thank you for all of the responses! I thought maybe there was a huge error, but its interesting to know that there were a lot of people that were experiencing the same problem with there being a non-working tracking number. It certainly made me feel a lot better about the situation with my order. Hopefully it will come in tomorrow or Tuesday then
.

I normally always buy from the Disney Store for the lithographs alone, but they were a little disappointing this time around. Not to mention I was hoping to save a little extra money, but im fine with it as they still do look quite nice. I completely forgot about the coupons! Thank for reminding me! I am going to put that to good use.

When I pre-ordered the Diamond Editions of Cinderella and The Little Mermaid from them, I got them via UPS even though I choose the cheapest method for some reason. No idea why that was but that is how I received them. Interesting to know that they usually ship USPS. Now I will know that the next time I pre-order a movie from them.

The times I have ordered movies from DS.com, I have never had a link work for me after they have shipped. So, they most likely did ship it, but you won't be able to track it. As much as I like the post office they never seem to appropriately update their shipping information with DS orders.

My blu-ray pre-order is in the same limbo as yours, having been supposedly processed on 03/11/2014, but the tracking number is still a dud and I have not received my order yet. I'm on the west coast, so things naturally take longer to arrive if they are being shipped from the warehouse in Tennessee. That said, as Polaris mentioned, people have received them prior to the weekend, so it's really just a courier situation. Fingers crossed that everyone gets what they ordered, since it is a royal pain to hound the Disney Store's customer service for quick and satisfactory resolutions.

No Frozen Blu-Ray today either. My order also says it was shipped on the 11th so it definitely should have gotten here by now. And of course, no tracking. I'm starting to get worried now... :anxious:
