Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am brand new to trading (made my first trade ever yesterday!) and have only been collecting for a month or two. I live in So. Cal and have an annual pass so I go to the park a lot. I'm still learning all the in's and outs of LE's and scrappers and all the other stuff there is to learn. I got the idea to start collecting when I was going through an old box of stuff and came across an original edition name tag from the Disney Studios (the oval shaped one with Mickey Mouse on the top and a blue ring around the border). Needless to say, I thought it was pretty cool and now I often wear it when I go to the park! LOL!
Anyways, looking forward to learning lots more and hopefully getting to know some of you!

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. I will check out that site StitchTrader. I'm still learning pinpics and all of the other places where they have info on pins. My collection is small, mostly rack pins from the park but I was able to pick up the 2 Keyhole Character LE's from WDW on Ebay and I went to the Disney Store last week to get the Star Wars pin. I can easily see this getting out of hand!

I started out with a lanyard from a trip to WDW years ago. Then drifted from collecting pins (my collection after that WDW trip was a massive 9 pins). Then a year later my son, wife and I headed south to Disneyland for a visit with the mouse back in 2007. We saw the pin traders at the various locations and were amazed by all the pins they had, making my 9 pin collection seem rather small! When we left that visit we were hooked. We started collecting rack pins, then trading with traders at the park where we really learned the ropes (BRING BACK THE TRADE TABLES!)...

Now we have all found home here on DPF. We attend as many pin trading events as we can - did our first trip to the Soda Fountain to check out their pins (and those yummy sundaes). Heck, we even have a line item on our monthly budget for 'Disney Pins'. I love explaining that to the tax prep guy!

Enjoy your hunting. Don't be afraid to lurk, or even ask questions.

Welcome! Hope your first trade was fun! And I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, I've learned a lot by reading several threads here and people are really helpful.

Wow! Everyone here seems so welcoming! That is awesome considering the other forum I frequent can be a little hostile often times! LOL (I keep and breed frogs, it's a frog related forum) I plan on lurking quite a bit. I don't wan to ask unnecessary questions if the answer is already out there. Looking forward to hopefully trading some pins with you all! And of coarse building my collection with some sweet stuff!
