So I finally decided to join and take part in discussions here regarding the trading of Disney pins. I am a Cast Member at WDW, working as a RGSM (Retail Guest Service Manager for those who do not know) at a DVC Resort. When I first started with the company I always told myself that I would never be a "pin" person who collected pin after pin. But, that all changed when the 2011 HM set was released and I decided I wanted all of the T-shirts. If I had only known then what I know now about how much of an obsession it would become, I would have not wanted them. :) At first I told myself my collecting would be limited to the Hidden Mickey pins but nowadays I am known to go to locations and buy 15 mystery boxes and mystery bags at one time just to be able to get all of the pins in those sets. While I do not collect every new release pin, or pin mystery set, the cost of becoming a "pin" person bas become astronomical. I am sure many others here have this same vice. With that being said I am well over 2,000 pins in my collection. The thought does hit me once in a while to liquidate my collection and trade off or sell a good portion of them, if not all, including quite a few Artist Proof and Pre-Production (AP and PP) pins. But, I can never bring myself to do so. I do like to trade and I have quite a few doubles and triples and quadruplets due to my incessant buying of multiple boxes and bags.

Welcome to DPF! :fig:

Wow, accumulating 2000+ pins since 2011 is amazing! And... maybe a little bit obsessive, lol. But aren't we all a little bit obsessed here? :D

Do you have any photos of your collection? A PinPics account? I'd love to see it!

I do have a PinPics account, although I am hopelessly behind in updating my "owned" pins by about 500 pins. I doubt I ever get it up to date. But my username there is PinFanatic2011.

I actually have 1 of your wants ! (Thats unusual for me as I live so far from a park) I'll be at WDW next week if you'd like to trade in person :wavey:

:wavey: A Big HELLO and WELCOME PinFantaic.

Yup...I started my pin hobby by collecting the Piece of Disney Movie Pins, back in 2013. No turning back, from that point on. LOL.

I hope to trade with you, in the near future.

Here's wishing you a many, trades and new friendships!

Best Regards,
Connie

WELCOME!!! It is such an addictive and yes expensive hobby but at the same time SO hard to stop or slow down! I have recently become so much more of a "pin person" and I can't help it! I think you will find this forum can be a great source of information and amazing people!
