Am I the only one not crazy for the artwork of this pin? And why does Disney insist on releasing pins WAY before the day the pin is celebrating? I mean, how stupid it to release a pin celebrating 11/11/11 or 12/12/12 and not release it on that day??

Agree about the artwork. :)

I personally like that they release pins early for specific holidays and such. That way if someone wanted to give this pin to their mother ON Mother's day, they have time to purchase the pin, get it shipped to them (if they are out of state) and receive it in time for the holiday. :)

Also...I can probably pick up a few of these if anyone wants it. I would just charge retail price plus tax and shipping costs. :)

How can you even see the artwork! LOL PrincessBecky I would love one if you can accommodate me. Very nice of you to offer openly to the community! :)

I agree the artwork looks kinda plane Jane to me...although it is hard to see with such a small picture. From what I do see I just don't like it has the year on front. If it said "Happy Mother's Day" alone than I'd be happy. Without the year I feel like it can be worn annually and make sense. With the year, after wearing it a couple times just makes it old lol. My opinion and I know people will differ. I just like simple pins with more enamel touches...rather than words and fancy boarders

I kind of like the art on it. If I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing, it kind of reminds me of the art from the tapestry that was torn.

I like the advance sale for the exact reason you mentioned. I'd like to get one for my mom on Mothers Day and if they released it the day of, I'd be boned.

and btw, sending a PM now. :)

So release it a few days before the date, not a month. This pin will sell out in a day or two. But pins like 12/12/12 should be on the day. I feel like I have to go weeks ahead of time just to by the pin, then go to the park the day of validate the pin. Just sell it the day of to commemorate the day which the pin is commemorating to begin with.

I'm not crazy about the artwork either. Elinor looks fine but I'm not a fan of how Merida looks.

Its so you can gift the pin on the day, what good is a Mother's Day pin the day of? You can run home or ship it to your mom in time. Unless is an I was there type pin they should be released sooner

I agree Ozzie, I am going to get two (hopefully) and send one to my baby sis to give to Mom for mother's day. I like having a few days to get my shipping and everything in order!!

Does it actually have the year/date on it? I can't see that small, haha! I would feel the same way though.

That being said, if it DOESN'T have the year on it, I think I will definitely try to get this one. My Mom passed away Nov 2011 and when I saw Brave I couldn't help but think of her completely, the entire time. It was emotional, but in a great way. I don't have any other Brave pins, but with my connection to the movie and it being a Mother's Day specific pin, I would love to have it.

I'm also willing to try to get one or two for others if they need.
