Well, it's really only one photo :facepalm:

Hello, my nickname is Rose and I am new to pins. I have collected many things in the past and recently got back into collecting Disney dolls. That led to pins (it is no good trying to find an active forum that is only for dolls), once I saw how shiny and pretty, and amazingly well they would go with my doll collection.

I used to be a completest in my collections, but once I completed one I would just sell the stuff because it was no fun anymore. So now I just get what I like. Below is a photo of my collection, I love all these pins and if you think there is something complementary to them that I would also love please tell me about it or post a photo.

Also, I have tried to educate myself and be discerning, however I did buy all but the MU pins from eBay. So if you have any of them and could send me a front and back photo I would really appreciate it.

My pins thus far (and why I believe they are authentic):

The Search for imagination Vanessa 3D #15754 (on org card w. SKU that matches pins pics)
Disney Catalog "Nouveau" Aurora sitting #13444 (front matches pinpics exactly, haven't seen pics of back)
DLP Sofia the First #94274 (seller from Paris, SKU matches pinpics, Micky heads run off the edge)
HSN Cinderella Storybook a Dress for the Ball #12231 (came in cardboard box that matches pinpics SKU for entire set, front matches pinpics exactly, has nubs on back, haven't seen photo of back)
MU PNK (bought direct from disneystore.com)
MU ROR (bought direct from disneystore.com)

Thank you VanellopeFan, I love Wreck it Ralph too, but the pins are a bit out of my price range. Here's hoping they make a lot more of the cutest Disney Princess President!

Thanks, LiliMay! I am so excited to have her, she is my top favorite so far. I managed to snag her off a very sweet seller who was selling her personal collection at a great price. Little Mermaid fans gotta stick together, I love Rapunzel, but Ariel is still the most popular girl to me

Thanks ^^ She seems to be the easiest of the set to find, now I'm jonesing for the others! I actually had the book as a child and bought it again recently, if you haven't seen it you should, the artwork is amazing, and this pin is spot on.

Hello Nettiejeanne! I hope it doesn't get too crazy around here, pins are supposed to be my less expensive hobby (when compared to dolls). I guess we'll just have to see ^^






 
Welcome to the forum! Your collection is gorgeous so far.

When I started out I just had a handful of very obvious scrappers (hidden mickeys from eBay), and it took me a long time to figure out they were fake.

You're ahead of the game already! :-D

Hello sorappandora, thanks. I've actually been contemplating buying pins for a long time so I tried to get a lot of info before jumping in. I do have a few more pins on the way though, and I suspect the Megara I ordered is fake now that I know more about it. I'll just have to see, who knew Hercules is so popular that they would be so scrapped and counter-fitted?! Disney should support the film more.
 
hi and welcome!!!!!! Maybe if you ask, they will start a thread for just the doll things. I have met a handful of people collecting just the dolls on here. I think that would be nice for all you doll collectors to be able to have a page of just doll things. =)

Well as you mentioned Ariel is you favourite might be a way to go. Tons of pins all varrying in price and definitely very difficult to complete lol.

Hello Saphenous, I actually found this site because the doll threads it has are more active than some doll forums! The people I've chatted with there all seem really positive and enjoy sharing their passion for collection, you should come check thme out sometime. But be warned, dolls are as addictive as pins!

Hi fireheadfred, thanks for the suggestion. I do love Ariel, but I also love fairies, centaurettes, and all kinds of fantasy creatures. Another personal favorite of mine is the mermaids from Peter Pan. Though I don't think they made too many pins of those.
