Bricklayer,

We are requesting you to re-open our "TIGGERNUT - Please Respond..." thread. As we have not found where it violates any Terms of Use, defames another member, or states any false accusations - we do not find where it is necessary to be closed by a moderator.

We created the thread for 4 reasons:

1) TiggerNut has stated that she prefers to have it all open rather than a secret PM system. There is nothing more open then on a public "open discussion" forum.

2) TiggerNut has stated the she believes PinPics/LANSAM is swapping out photos on PinPics listings. We are unable to quote where she mentions "photos" directly, due to the thread being moved to a moderator-only area of DPF. Bricklayer, since you have access to these threads, we are sure that you will be able to go through and find her statement if needed. However, we are able to quote her mention of "information".

If she gives us a list of which photos she added, and we replace them, then the community will know that disney5 is the one who took the new photo. And they can rest assure knowing that it came from a longtime pin trader.

3) TiggerNut has already provided us with 6 PinPics numbers, which unfortunately we are unable to replace since we (disney5) do not own those pins. However she has stated that she has no problem cataloging and requiring them be removed. Also, in our "TIGGERNUT - Please Respond..." thread, which we are requesting be re-opened, TiggerNut states that she would like our help.

4) We would like to open it up to the other 16 people that TiggerNut has mentioned in the quote above. We only have 2 requests:
  • They post the numbers themselves to prove that they are indeed the owners of the current photos on PinPics.
  • Their posts ONLY contain PinPics numbers and titles. NOTHING ELSE. There is no need for discussion, excuses, or reasons.

Bricklayer - We hope you understand and appreciate that this is a genuinely honest effort to resolve the complaints of TiggerNut and the "16 people" regarding their change of heart to their donated pin photos to the PinPics website. This is not a "joke" or a "will they post them?" thing for us. We are fully prepared to send in replacement photos for every single pin (that we own) with photos donated by TiggerNut and the "16 people".

We have read the new statement by TiggerNut that she cannot prove that the current PinPics photos on pins added from early 2001-2002 are originally hers. Proof being currently having an original copy without the PinPics watermark. Even in light of this new information, we are still willing to replace (if we own the pin) any photo that she claims to be the original owner of.

Thank you.

Well, if you cannot replace 6 photos..why should I waste my time giving you a longer list? You want another 6 you cannot replace too? What point is this?

Why don't you just start fixing the ugly pictures from 2000-2001 if you have them. Why just target my entires. Why not benefit the community? Real cloisonne is much prettier and is never copied like Lenny's Gomes Cinderella or the Alice as Jessica Rabbit.

I will create a thread for this, and our members can submit the pin numbers of pins they would like their photos of to be removed.

Waste of time doing this and totally missing the point.

The issue is the use of Pinpics completely for use for Ebay sales. Not just my photos. My photo example is the contribution I made in order to use other contributions.

My photos were donated to use the other ones as well. Removing my photos does not solve the problem...it merely hurts the community as a whole.

I would like to point out the issue isn’t just about photos; it is about photos and DESCRIPITIONS. How I describe the pin is just as much work as the photograph.

As an example of see [Pinpics]15393[/Pinpics]: Tokyo Disneyland New Century Commemorative. I did NOT ADD THIS PIN. However, when I was adding new pins I added a pin that turned out to be this pin which I could not originally find due to the lack of description.

The original description of [Pinpics]15393[/Pinpics] was:
This pin was released at Tokyo Dineyland December 26, 2000. This pin was sold with the same design automatic wrist watch.

Once I discovered my addition was a duplicate of [Pinpics]15393[/Pinpics], I requested my duplicate be removed and the information added to that entry. My description was the following:

It took significant time for me to describe this pin in those details. Had I added this pin, simply removing my picture and replacing with a new would not be sufficient . My description must also be significantly re-worked so it does not infringe on my copyrighted words.

My pictures were added for the community to share. Why would I want my pictures replaced with pictures that provide less to the community? I am not going to point out any pictures of mine due to the fact that I do not want people to have less access for the pictures.

Disney5, how about just going though your collection and just updating pictures that are not up to standard? This whole this is about sharing with the community, so why not just share for the sake of sharing without needing a reason for it.

Why do you think you are speaking for the community? How do you know that the majority of the pin trading community agrees with you? Maybe the majority likes the idea of ebay sellers taking pictures of the actual pins they are selling and not just posting a pinpics picture. No ones stopping the pin trading community from using the pictures as pinpics intended them to be used. They are just trying to stop lazy ebay sellers who can't seem to snap a photo with their digital cameras or phones from misrepresenting what they are selling.

I agree with Disney5. He's asking Tiggernut to back up what she's saying. She has a problem with pictures she donated freely to pinpics being withheld from eBay so he's willing to replace them. Problem solved as far as she should be concerned.

and Kajttd - no one is stopping anyone from using the descriptions. I'm not sure why you even bring that up.

I think the point is TiggerNut is that you said you have provided over 10,000 photos to pinpics and i think Disney5 just wants proof that you have done that. not just you saying it. thats all.

Well, the way this was done in the past was that my disks were systematically sent every 6 months or so to the mods at Pinpics. The general rule with my Ebay listings, was that if the Pinpics photo sucked or didn't look like I was selling, I would do a scan. There were approximately 1000-2000 scans made a year, and I did this regularly from 2001, or 2002 (can't remember exactly). The discs are not in any order or by Pinpics number -that is what the mods did when they decided to take one of my photos off the disk. So far I have located 14 copies of those Disks that I have located from various years, containing at last count -4800 pin images.

So, in order to go back and claim the Pinpics numbers -I have to match the images on my disk with what Pinpics has. Right now, that is too time consuming for me to even consider. I did a few off the top of my head from my collection, to prove that removing my contributions hurts the community in just trying to prove a point. I do know that every Pinpics number I have given are also presently items in my collection -and I can show the actual pin if need be.

I don't want to have to fight over this. However, it does damage me personally. The issue is not just what I contributed but denying the access to everything else as well.

I know I have at least 2 former moderators to back me on this story regarding my photo disks, as many of the entries still contain their names for adding my photos.

Not sure if this helps....

1) Problem not solved. I am tired of having to explain this.
2) If ANY Photo is prohibited from the use on Ebay, it violates the agreement made when the photo was given.
3) My photos are an EXAMPLE as someone who has given to the community, with the rights to still use them for whatever purpose.
4) Lansam stated descriptions, as did Figgy in chat here yesterday.

The problem is that pin pics will only target people they don't like. If your on the wrong side of this or you express your opinion you can be baned from your collection. Pin traders are notorious for for feuding, but we usually make up over time. My wife refuses to let me say more for fear that her collection will be voided.

See, Mike is one step ahead of you

Can Merryweather, Broncobilly, latemetal, Tiggernut and now Disney5 just exchange phone numbers and deal with this..maybe skype it out, the number of threads dedicated to this is getting beyond stupid...The "D" in DPF is for Disney, not Drama....

I feel that this is unfair to me. I did not start a single drama thread. But if somebody starts it, i have the right to post as much as anyone else.

Sorry you feel its unfair, but one person being raked through the coals was a hard pill to swallow let alone several now...Rather than continue the spat via posts, do it in a more constructive manner...I have absolutely nothing against any of you on a personal level, it's just getting really OLD.
