PIN & POP PIN & POP Site Announcements & Ideas

Not an error - just trying to better manage the number of tables and listings that we're getting in the events this year. Last Trade Arcade we had some mobile users who were getting timeouts just trying to load the almost 400 tables on a single page. The experiment for this event is showing tables in the order they were created instead of random. That means the ISO match groupings need to be per page instead of Arcade-wide. I'll do some more work on the table back / next navigation to see if I can follow the unique sort-order for each trader instead of it feeling random.
Thank you for explaining the setup. 😊 I love the idea of listing the tables in the order they were created; that explains why the last page (so far) has always been full of tables I haven't yet visited. I didn't know people were timing out last time, so hopefully this helps. Most of my activity during trade arcades happens on my desktop (for the most part) so I have not experienced the time-out issue.

This new page setup is either going to save me a lot of time, because it is so frustrating to be constantly scrolling up and down to see the few pins on each page that are ISOs for me/them that I stop looking altogether, or waste a whole heck of a lot of time doing said scrolling. I fear it will be the latter and a lot of joy will be sucked out of this TA. It is extra annoying that I have to scroll past the sponsors on each page, and if I want to look at a total of like 10 tables, I have to do that a few times. I really hope this changes before the TA opens. It is not user-friendly in the current setup, at least not in this user’s opinion.

Perhaps if each category was on its own page series? It would be great to filter ISOs for me/them and only have those on my page series. That would be user friendly. Now I’m searching between sponsors and other categories on every page.

I'd prefer seeing everything categorized as it was previously. It's already getting confusing , especially as people update tables.

Yes. As people update tables they could move into a different group. So they might move into the “iso for you/iso for them” group on the first page, because their table has existed for a while, even though they are a “new” table to that category.

Yeah, this new setup is very painful. Scroll past sponsors and my own table to get to the mutual ISOs. See there is a new one and look at that. Then scroll back up to the top of the page to click to the next page. Scroll past sponsors and my own table to get to the mutual ISOs. Nothing new here. Scroll back up to the top of the page to click to the next page. Scroll past sponsors and my own table to get to the mutual ISOs. Oh look! There's a couple of new/updates. Check those out. Scroll back up to the top of the page to click to the next page. Scroll past sponsors and my own table to get to the mutual ISOs....

It is way less convenient and exponentially more time intensive than it had been. And will get worse as more tables come online. Please reconsider it. I know it's not ideal, but maybe in the short term have a separate page for folks who can't see the whole list that they can click to get to that has this setup but the default is the prior version?

@Ajk summarized the frustrating process perfectly. But I just noticed another glitch.
After scrolling down and finding the isos for me/them, I see only 3 on page 1. I would assume that meant there were only three updated tables that with the iso for me/them match. One would assume there would be no tables on additional pages since that first page isn't full. However, I see 8 on page 2, another 7 on page 3, and 4 more on page 4. A lot of tables will get lost on those other pages if people assume, as I would, that each page would be full if there were more on the next page.

I think I’ve been a bit confused/not understanding the new site layout. It felt like not much changed on my desktop version but I just went onto my phone version and maybe see a difference? Is it that each page has the ISO for you/them, ISO for you, ISO for them, and Others on each page? That’s what I feel like I’m seeing but still not totally understanding what I’m looking at and how it’s decided what table is on which page

You have it correct. When you view All Tables, there are now multiple pages you have to scroll through rather than a single page before. And each page has some of each type on it. So although I only care about ISO/ISO, I have to go to every page to see them all. And I have to scroll up and down through stuff I'm not interested in to migrate to each page. PLUS, if there is a new table or an updated table, it could be on any of the pages so I always have to check them all.

okay I am understanding much better now, thank you! I can definitely see how this may add time to the trading and I will likely stick to just desktop when I am browsing tables
Are you saying you don't see the pages on desktop? You should.

I know I can see which tables want ANY of my traders. Can you add a way for me to see which specific tables want a SPECIFIC pin? I own some pins that I am motivated to trade more than other pins. The pin detail page lists which tables have the pin on that table. I want to see which tables WANT that pin.

I think Chris said the tables on each page is based on when the table was made, so that’s why each category is on each page. I’m hoping this at least helps me find tables I want to find faster if I can remember what page they were on.

I do wonder if people that made tables early will have an advantage though if people don’t think they need to go to each page for the mutual ISO tables. At least this is a super long event, so hopefully more people have time to figure out these changes 🤞

Guys, there is literally a "hide visited' tables button so you dont have to scroll so much. When you do that, it is actually a lot less scrolling once you start visiting the tables. Its truly not much different at all to how it was before. It truly shouldn't impact your experience at all.
Also, do you all truly not even look at the tables that dont have ISO for both?! Thats crazy to me. You never truly know, I would have made so many less trades if I did that.

Also, another tip, start visiting all the tables the week before when you have free time or before bed, and start putting any pin you are interested in, in your watchlist, then, during the arcade, all the pins you want are all in that one place, plus the grails show first! I never actually visit any tables during the arcade unless they say updated!

I really wish I could click on pins when I’m looking at my table. Right now, I can look at my table and see what pins I’m listing with the photo of the pin and the “YOUR PIN” and “You OWN this” banners but nothing happens if I click on them. This seems like it would be a really convenient place to let people add backer card and condition note info, especially if the goal is to get more people to include that kind of thing. At the very least, I feel like I should be able to click on the pin and go to the page for it. Even the same thing as what I get when I click a pin on someone else’s table could work, then I could see what information I still need to add for each pin and also get to the pin page more easily.

I don't like the new format....but change is hard, and hopefully it will get easier over time.As someone who has not yet set up my table I'm a bit annoyed to hear that tables are appearing in the order they were created rather than randomized like always. it would have been nice to have a heads up in advance of such a change. The randomization helped all tables get some front page exposure, now it feels like my table will get buried. I'll keep an open mind and see how this event goes but I'm not entering into this optimistically.

It's been a few days and I'm still not used to it, and my dislike for it is growing. I did notice a disclaimer was put up " Matches are grouped page by page, so there may be more on other pages." - but this is really going to be the most labor intensive in creating a watch list.

I really hope that the confusion it's causing doesn't cause someone to miss out on a trade.

I'm curious how it's going to show for those just joining the fray on October 23rd

Trade Arcade will be getting a major overhaul in the UI and backend performance for the beginning of 2027 so the changes with Happy Haunts are temporary for this event. I've made a few tweaks to try to improve it for this event but where it's at now is most likely where it's going to be next week when HH2026 kicks off.

@Capmereica had a great suggestion about using Hide Visited to make browsing easier.

Remember, there will be more Trade Arcades and opportunities to make trades in the future. Remember to enjoy this hobby and have fun giving grails and adding to your collections.

Thanks @Chris Nickols Glad to hear these changes are temporary. FWIW as you consider changes next year, I don’t really see hiding visited helping with the primary issue here. I may be missing something but there can be new or updated tables on any page so I still have to scroll through and open every single page every time I want to look at the tables to make sure I don’t miss anything. Hiding visited would only help if new/updated always come first but they do not. Just wanted to point that out.

I second the @Ajk assessment. I have “hide visited” checked and it is just not a fun process in this format. For the future, being able to group pages would be a huge improvement. I like to look through all iso for me/them before looking at the other groups. If all that category was grouped together and I could scroll through like before, I would be very happy. my eyeballs really get tired looking for that one category nestled between all the sponsors (maybe that won’t be so bad with just 1 or 2) and other categories. Then back up and scroll down and back up and scroll down. There are only about 4 pages now, but if I have to do that with 20 pages, I’ll probably pull all my hair out.

On a positive note, I just noticed this feature and love it!
