(If this is already a discussion somewhere, please feel free to merge this thread- I did not find any when I started thinking about it)

Beloved Tales, Windows, PTDs, Marquees… these are all great series to continue on through the years and include new movies and characters and concepts.

But are there any series that you wish they’d continue on but they stopped too soon because they limited themselves to one year or because it was part of one themed trading event?​


For me, this came to mind as we are nearing the end of the year for the Attraction based Charming Carousel Pins. Who knows, Disney might surprise us with a round two (in which case my wallet will scream 😂) but while I’m no means a completist for the series, I can’t help but think of so many more attraction opportunities! A rise of the resistance carousel? A runaway railway carousel? Or what about a guardians of the galaxy mission breakout for DLR while WDW can release a tower of terror carousel? The possibilities are endless seeming! 😍


Anyone else get this feeling of slight relief when a series seems to be reaching its end but a hint of hoping they will keep going somehow in the future? 😄❤️
 
I'm actually the opposite on some sets. For example, the Off the Page series. I am currently 4 away from having all of them but they announced at least one more batch coming. I love the pins, but I would like to be done. (And no, I can't just stop with an incomplete set. 😄) And with a series like that, it could just go on forever. Like PTDs.

But more along the lines of what you asked, I like retired attraction series like Remember When of Then and Now and would like to see those added to each time a ride retires or changes to something else.
 
They go in my category of ones that I love but am glad they are done with. Only one more to complete my set!
 

I started thinking about the opposite being true too with some series when I posted the thread. I definitely feel for completest especially when the hype builds up around a series (windows of attractions comes to mind) and then you have to battle the hype excitement when you have already come so far!
 
It's the original Supporting Cast series for me!! I needed so many cool movies and shows to be a part of that series; I was MADDDDDD when I realized they stopped. Potential pins I wanted to see were Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Ducktales or other Disney Afternoon shows, and some newer stuff like Phineas and Ferb!! How awesome would that have been?!
 
PODH/PODM were awesome pins too

My life would be so much easier if I could do that. But for some reason, I seem to be allergic to making my life easier, in so many ways.
