Does anyone else, who keeps their pins in pin bags, have a problem with some of them always turning/spinning around? If so, have you found any way of stabilizing them or stopping this from happening? I don't want to have each pin on a backing card unless it's a special decorated backing card. And this doesn't stop the problem much anyways, if I remember correctly. I haven't been back to doing this again for quite awhile, but I'll put a bunch of pins on a page where I think I've got them spaced apart enough. When the page is full, and I lift it up to start on the other side, the pins start turning around and clink into one another. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
If you are using the backer that comes with it, then try starting a new hole in it. The factory hole is not always a tight grip. Oh, be careful to just gt the pin in the center where there is more 'meat', lest ye be bleedin' all over yer pins mate.
 
Thanks, Applecore. I'm not really wanting to use the backer cards, except if they are the special decorated ones. Good idea, though, about starting a new hole if I do use them. Do you use something other than the actual pin to make a new hole? I'd be afraid of breaking the pin back, if I used the pin.


Thanks, kadair76. I'm not using a book, though. Just the Disney Pin Bags from the park that I've bought from various people who live around DLR and WDW.


Maybe using a smaller part of the backing card or a piece of cardboard or plastic behind the pin would possibly help?

Looks like I'm not the only one, then, with spinning pins!
 
Normally the Coreplast I use instead of cardboard works just fine. But if you manage to hit a previously used hole, the can spin.

hhhhh! Shhhhhhhhh! How else are we supposed to get fellow traders addicted if they're not nicking themselves with the pins - remember they are treated with that special addictive agent that gets absorbed into the bloodstream. :lol:
 
I stick a little piece of double sided tape on the back of pins that don't stay well. Doesn't hurt the pin or the book.

It sure doesn't take very long, when putting pins in a bag, for my fingers to start hurting. For some reason the act of pulling off the pin backs takes a toll, and then they get jabbed trying to find the pin to put the pin back back on! Owwie!! lol

No kidding, halloweenfiend. That special addictive agent all Disney pins have sure does a whale of a job on us, doesn't it?
 
I also use Coroplast, and in my opinion, stops spinning dead in its tracks :lol:

You can find the stuff at any sign store, as well as Home Depot and Lowes (though it would be a bit pricer there)
