Everyone ***PLEASE READ***

Hi everyone,

I am sorry for the inconvenience but I am not going to go through with this auction.

I was not aware of the new rule that was just recently added, as I'm sure most members aren't, as Lucan444 didn't seem to even know as he was bidding on my 101 Dalmatians PODM and never said anything to me about it.

So I was punished with having to choose 1 of 2 options instead of just being able to get off with a warning. I chose the option to list the PODMs separately 2 at a time starting today (04/12), but since I did not do this at 11:30 PM last night I got punished again at 3 AM (see dancecat's comment on previous page for proof) with an infraction as well as having this thread re-opened and was called a liar for not posting said auctions yet even though I was not given a specified time when to post them. You can see the PM here -

"Aloha Rachel,

Last night, I sent you the following message pertaining to your trade auction, which you will find here: http://disneypinforum.com/showthrea...ite(s)-amp-Bid!!!-*Ends-April-13th-10-PM-EST*

To refresh your memory, I sent you the following message:

I will go ahead and close the thread myself, to avoid any questions or concerns that you have closed the thread prematurely. We will look for the first two listings tomorrow - and expect to see all of them listed sequentially. Good luck with your auctions.

I went ahead and closed your auction with the expectation that you would list the first two PoDMs today. I know you were on DPF today; according to your profile, you were last on DPF at 11.30 pm. This means, you would have received the PM I sent you. You would have known that I closed your auction and you would have known that you were expected to list the first two PoDMs for auction today. You did not comply and now there are consequences.

You will receive an infraction for this. As you have failed to comply with re-listing the PoDMs per our agreement, you now have a prematurely closed auction, which is in violation of DPF's rules. And as you lied to me when you said that you would re-list your PoDMs, I am now re-opening the thread that I closed for you. You now must trade all of the PoDMs in your original auction thread. You no longer may auction them off individually as I do not trust you will do that. Failure to comply and complete your original auction will result in another infraction. Good luck with your auction."

I was going to list the first 2 PODM auctions later tonight as I had several appointments today, including a doctor's appointment with an endocrinologist and a life outside of pins.

I do not mean to punish or blame any of you other members by not going through with the auction but I am upset and mad and feel I am being treated unfairly, especially when saying that I lied by not listing the 2 auctions right at 11:30 PM last night when I was told to list them tomorrow (today) with an unspecified time and how I should have gotten off with just a warning instead of being punished in the first place for not knowing about the new rule.

So in short, Please do NOT bid as I will not go through with the auction.

If you have ANY questions please feel free to message me.

Listen Im not going to get in the middle of what is right or wrong but to be honest I do feel a bit cheated especially since it seems you did agree to reopen ur auction. I feel maybe you werent getting what u wanted in trade for ur pins and just decided to close the auction which is clearly stated in the rules as not something that should be done. I had really hoped to get the Goofy lonesome ghost pins and would have kept bidding and bidding as much as needed. Its hard for me to get the chance for those being here in Japan and really ur auction was my only hope.
Having said that its just a pin. Im sorry that u feel the way u do but I support the mods decision. BUT I have no ill will for you and hope that ur health is ok...having leukemia myself I know better than anyone about health issues and life outside pins.
I also wish u luck in future pin trades.

I did NOT agree to reopen the auction, she did it on her accord at 3 AM in the morning when I was asleep!!!!!!

I will not make this a public debate, Rachel, but we both know there is more to the story than you are telling everyone. PM will be sent shortly - and since Rachel has opened this wide, I will answer questions for anyone who has bid in the auction as you now have a right to the full story. If you have bid and have questions, please send them to me via PM and I will address them (within the bounds of confidentiality, of course).

Whatever Stefanie, I know what I said was correct and that's all that matters. If I get banned, so be it. I am not going to just sit here and let you tell me what to do and say that I lied when I was planing on listing the auctions later tonight, but since I did not do that before 3 AM in the morning, you took it upon yourself to re-open my auction thread.

I did read and understand....what I meant was that you agreed to reopen ur auction two at a time until all the PODM pins you listed were auctioned off. The mods just did what they felt was right for the majority based on the rules. Again I have no hard feelings, but it seems you should have read more careful in the first place then you wouldn't have had this situation and or your bidders wouldn't feel cheated just because you were not getting the bids you were expecting. I apologize if this or my first post offends you, but since you breached the subject I feel I have the irght to state my feelings about the situation.
In the end I am not a child and not going to get in a bickering match about who is right and who is wrong. Also pins are a piece of metal and life is too short so just know I hope you have good health and better luck with trades/ Auctions in the future. Will I bid in them even for a Goofy PODM....NO...but others will and I hope each trader...you and the person you trade with is happy with the results.

No, you did not clearly read it all. I did agree to post 2 PODMs separately at a time but she never gave me the chance to do it!!! She made up her mind at 3 AM this morning that I was not going to do it at all!!! That is the point!!! She didn't give me a chance to list them before she re-opened this thread!!!

Also, the new rule was just added, it was not like it was sent out to everyone to know about it. Am I suppose to check what new rules have been added every single day? Did you know about the new rule?

If you are holdig an auction then yes you should have checked for any rule changes before holding said auction. And yes I knew about the rule because I read the ules several times and asked questions for undestanding before opening my auction....thus I knew that there was a chance I may not get what I wanted but in the end would be expected to trade ALL of the pins I listed.

Just a random outside voice here, since i have no interest in bidding.

I check the auction house rules weekly to make sure there are no updates before i post my auctions. An auction similar to this was started and shut down fairly recently because it was unfair to ask people to bid against eachother for different pins. Personally, if I was the OP, I would not have listed these absolutly beautiful PoDM's for auction, I would have taken them to the trade lists and picked the best offers.

Please, for the sake of everyone sanity, take the debate back to PM and close the auction until the issue is resolved?

Ok, I should have looked at the rules again. If I knew that the rules was added I would have. BUT, as a moderator, I would have thought that Lucan444 would have known about this said rule, and not have placed a bid on my 101 Dalmatians PODM and would have mentioned that I was not following the rules. So if a Mod did not know about this rule, how many other members don't? My point is, I should have gotten off with a warning instead of having to have gone through with the options. It is not entirely my fault for not knowing about the new rule, and I would not blame someone who has/will go through what I have had to because they did not know about a new rule.

I'm sure most of you who are reading all this right now would feel the same as I do. That you would have liked to have gotten a warning about not doing it again instead of having to be told what to do. Another member felt this way as he was in the same boat as I am. As he, I will take the infractions instead of being told what to do.

I agree and apologize to others for my rant...even though thats not what I meant for it to turn into.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse. And if you check the timestamps of when this thread was first closed and then re-opened, you'll find that almost 24 hours went by between the two. Plenty of time to re-list two PoDM pins, I should think?

DPF Staff will post a final decision about this auction once it has been made. If you have any additional concerns regarding this, please send me a PM, which is where this matter should be discussed.

WOW... I kind of understand both sides here. Rachel thought she had the entire day not 24 hours, and Stefanie went by a strict 24 hour period. (I do think that if it was opened prior to the full 24 hours that was wrong though) I would say that this is a simple misunderstanding and once everyone has cooled off a bit it should be able to be settled fairly easily. You are both major contributors here. I would hate to see anything major happen over a misunderstanding. This could have been me. I bid on several of these but I do understand it all. I am not upset if the auctions have to be closed and I think if Rachel is still willing to list them separately DPF should let her. Just my two cents. Not trying to take sides just trying to see things clearly, not take sides, and come to a simple solution that works for everyone. If you were to "ban" Rachel then the people that really wanted her pins are punished because they will not even have the ability to bid on them. Can't we just chalk this one up to a misunderstanding and not something malicious? Sometimes mistakes and misunderstandings are just mistakes and misunderstandings. *Steppin down from da box now

The auction was opened before 24 hours. She said I had to list the 2 PODM auctions today. She did not state a time so I thought I would list them tonight when I got home from all my appointments but she decided at 3 AM this morning that I was not going to do what I said I would do and re-opened this thread and gave me an infraction.

I just want to take the 2nd infraction I will probably get and move on. I don't want to deal with auctions anymore, so I'm done.

You said I had to list them TODAY... not 24 hours within closing the auction, and if that was the case, I still would not have had to list the other auctions until 5:51 AM but you re-opened the auction at 3 AM, 2 hours too soon. You did not state that clearly. That is not my fault.

Also, its not a law, its a rule. This is a pin forum, not real life.

it seems to me that you are trying to make a big deal out of this to portray the mods as villains and not go through with the auctions. This issue is best resolved on private manners than you making it a spectacle.

Whatever you want to think, go right ahead. I am just standing up for myself and I want to let other people know that I am being treated unfairly.

If the mods read this, please just go ahead and give me an infraction or whatever, I am done dealing with this. I just want to move on.

I just hope this doesn't happen to others.

I understand that you may be "OVER" auctions but in order to make this right you should still have to post them for auction. If after that you want to quit doing auctions you can. This was the original agreement and should be adhered to in my opinion. If you choose to not fulfill your agreement you will make it harder for DPF to empathize with your position in this. Think about it Rachel. There were mistakes made on both sides of this one. Yours may have been attributed to ignorance but it was a mistake on your part. Stef made the mistake of opening your auction too soon and not being clearer with regard to 24 hours verses "a day". I truly see both sides. That is why I do not think there was any malicious intent on either side. It is simply a couple of mistakes and a misunderstanding. I don't really want to spend a lot of time debating this as I am just a bystander here. This will be the last I say on the matter... (if I can help it...LOL)
