I hope everyone will bear with me a minute while I ask a newbie question. I was wondering, what are WDI pins? From what I've been reading here so far, they are pins from the Imagineering department of Disney, is that right? Are they tradeable? Or are they like the fantasy pins that you're not supposed to trade at Disney? I saw a really cool looking WDI pin but don't know what the story is with them so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

You are correct, WDI pins are pins from Walt Disney Imagineering, and are DEFINITELY tradable! Usually they have a low LE number around 300. You see one you like? Go for it!

WDI Pins are legit Disney Pins. Not only are they tradeable, but they are low LE and usually very desireable :) If a pin is not tradeable, there would be an explanation on Pinpics.

I'll echo everyone here about the WDI pins. Some of the best pins I have in my collection are WDI pins and there are several more that I need in my collections!

I love WDI pins. The current Star Tours mystery set is LE200 and the chaser is LE100. The attraction posters are great too. I'm not a huge fan of the hat pins, too many high value and they make a lot of them. I'm excited to be able to buy them for the first time at the D23 event this weekend!!

Wow, thanks for the info, everyone! So they have WDI Star Wars (or Star Tours, that is) pins then? My son would love those. I'm a little scared to ask, but if these WDI pins (not just the Star Wars ones) are so limited in number, I'm guessing they probably go for a good deal of money? That won't work for me, but maybe that would be something we could work towards by building up a tradeable collection. Is that what most people do in order to obtain some of these limited pins?
