Agree, 'The Fly' is now Disney the same way Marvel, Muppets, Winnie the Pooh, Star Wars, etc. are now Disney.
Not sure there is any specific reason for the release to be only D23.

They’ve done a few other pin releases for similar ex-Fox properties - the Anastasia locket pin and the three Titanic pins come to mind. Plus the Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers pins from the big trade event last year.
