Oh yeah agreed. Those pins are fantastic. I'm just a splash mountain raccoon trying to hoard as much splash trash as I can into my small graduate apartment.

 

You got to work splash? That's so cool! Definitely my favorite attraction at WDW, though I might lose my sense of smell after a while from the water lol. Were you an attraction CM or were you selling merch in the shop on the way out?

Please let me know if you need anything. It was the saddest thing ever on Sunday. My wife, 6 year old, and myself were all sitting down on the carpet with my entire splash mountain collection in front of us. I said, “we all get to choose 5 to save.”

Hardest decision of my pin life. It was very sad. I still plan on collecting, especially the blue bird pins I’m missing, but I just can’t keep up with 5 collections any longer.

All of that to say that I hope they end up in a true collector’s forever home, especially a small graduate apartment.

 

You only kept 15 then? Which 15 did you keep?

 

Nope, just 13 we had some overlap in our choices.

Attraction CM! I worked the parades in Frontierland too, and handed out candy at Halloween time.

I'm in a similar boat. I promised myself that I'm really only searching for the mystery pins and then the really big jumbo. I love all of them though so really can't help myself, but these are the ones that I'm primarily focusing on:



I almost got the jumbo, but couldn't justify the $100+ purchase at that time because of moving expenses. ):

That being said, fantastic collection! I have to budget for my research since I'm not going to be getting any internal funding. So I have to either get outside grants or pay out of pocket. Once I get that situated, the pin budget may be bigger.

 

On a side note, at Trivia tonight there was a question about the Country Bear Jamboree. None of the people at my 10-person table knew what I was talking about. (I have to remind myself I'm no longer in Orlando.) I showed them all a picture of Big Al and they thought he was creepy. how dare they

 

My dad was saying his friends in college used to call him Big Al and my first thought was the Country Bears. He quickly realized why I was laughing so hard lol
