Tiggernut, if you are going to reply to this thread we ask that it ONLY contain PinPics numbers and titles. NOTHING ELSE.

We'd like to start by saying that we have been pin trading/collecting for almost 10 years (we started in November 2002). We currently own according to PinPics 13,169 items. The actual pin count number is higher due to the fact that if we own a set of 8 pins it counts as only 1 item. Not to mention we have at least 100 more pins to add to our owns list when we get the time. We are in NO WAY newbies or un-informed on scrappers/fakes/unauthorized/over-runs/fantasy/bootleg pins.

With that being said, Tiggernut you have posted that you do not want pinpics to use your images that you upload to pinpics anymore.

I for one, will not be banned from my photos. If necessary, I will file a class action suit on behalf of those who donated their photos with the understanding that they could be used by the community for ANY purpose -whether that is Ebay, Amazon, Craig's list or writing in the sky. What is being suggested is wrong, and violates the understanding many had when giving the photos. I have no problem cataloging and requiring my photos be removed if there is a plan to ban my access.

Please let us be the first ones in line to request that you post in this thread a list of the pins that currently have your photos. And we will take you at your word that you are the original owner of the current PinPics photos. If we own the pin, we will take our own photos of the pin and submit it PinPics.

　
You state that you have added over 10,000 photos to PinPics and currently have proof of 4,800 of them. We expect a list of these pins. And we will post a reply list of the pins that we are able to replace the images of so you can remove them from your list.

As someone who provided Pinpics with over 10,000 photos in the last 10-12 years, this change does effect me substantially as I provided those photos in the first place -with the intent that the community could use them for whatever purpose and so that I could then retrieve for my purpose.

From my count...I have thus far found 4,800 images that I can show in my possession that were given to Pinpics -for the joint purpose of use for the community -whether that is for sale, or admiration of their beauty.

We are anxiously waiting these PinPics numbers....

Well, it is an interesting request..but I think you are missing the point in many ways..but let me give you a couple of things to consider:

Many photos I contributed -at least 100 I can think of, have only 1 or 2 people with the same pin. Are you are wishing to deprive the entire community of 100s, perhaps 1000s of rare and hard to find photos of pins because you are trying to prove a point?

Here are few that come to mind...that I think you will have a tough time finding replacement picture for. Yes, they are all Tiggers, but I am doing this off the top of my head right now: Pinpics: [pinpics]34843[/pinpics]; [pinpics]34242[/pinpics]; [pinpics]35313[/pinpics]; [pinpics]35331[/pinpics]; [pinpics]35332[/pinpics]; [pinpics]35341[/pinpics].....for starters.

I mean right now, Pinpics has too many "COMING SOON" blocks of pins with no Pictures..and they will never get those photos -as the source is only 1 or 2 folk. Try Tigger Tornadoes - which is my info..no picture, or the 3 Proto Spinner Tiggers..no picture for each.

And, how about the information I contributed? I see that text from Pinpics is also being subject to the same Ebay ban. Are you aware I actually NAMED some of the pins. That would also be MY WORK.

Another point, my contribution of my photos is not only to retrieve my photos, but be allowed to do the same with the others. I contribute so others can use my photos, and then I can use theirs as well. So, how do you fix that problem?

I am not sure why you want to call me out on just my photos, as I have already 16 people interested in joining a Class-Action against LANSAM/Pinpics if they wish to implement this ridiculous policy. I am not the only one who believe it is wrong to take photos under one premise and now change the rules. Again, I stated new entries -no problem, no issue. But the older stuff was given with the purpose to SHARE. Whether that is to sell, trade or just admire.

That being said, I will solicit your help in removing my photos from the database if Pinpics/Lansam refuses to rethink their errant ways. But, I think the task will be enormous, and think you might want to seek some funding from Lenny.

That being said It would be a much better use of LANSAM's time building a better site than destroying a system that worked without major issue for 12 years. It was working..make it better, don't make everyone have to jump through hoops to just get what we once had before.
