I hate whenever a bidding war goes down to the last second, and someone beats your max bid by a couple of pence. It's so frustrating! Happened to be a few times this weekend.
I hate that. I just missed out on my GRAIL the other day. Suddenly ten other people bid on it in the last few minutes and got it up to a price I was not willing to reach. So sad!
Well on Ebay the way it works is you can bid whatever your highest amount is and it will only make you pay a few cents higher than the second highest bidder. So if you put down $50 on a pin and you lose to a bid of $50.50, the first place bidder might have actually bid $100 and the only way to beat them is to bid $100.01 but it doesn't tell you that.
