Someone offered to trade me for my UP Doug pin (a common rack pin...the one of him and Carl) but I couldn't find anything on their trades list that I wanted and this person offered to buy it from me instead.

I have never sold a pin before and I am not very sure what is a "fair" price to charge so if any DPF members can offer me any advice if would be much appreciated.

Do you mean:

Pin 79392: Disney-Pixar's Up - Dug and Carl Fredricksen

If so, the Dug pin seems to go for around $5 while the Carl and Dug together might go for $8-$9 :) Hope that helps (BTW, that was based on recent Ebay sales)
 
Whenever you need to know what a pin is currently going for, look it up on ebay and hit SOLD LISTINGS and go based on an average of the last few completed sales. Usually thats a good measuring stick.
