What are the chances that they might put these out tonight at DLR? I just found out I am off early today so I am going to head to DLR tonight.... I often see pins put out much earlier than the posted release date. Hmmmm.... They are supposed to be out tomorrow.

They are releasing 3 new pins tomorrow. Annual passholder Winter / Santa Mickey pin. Lost Key's to the Kingdom Tower of Terror and Wreck-it Ralph. You may get lucky and find some store that wants to fill their shelves early. They did that with Brave Opening Day and I haven't seen it happen since.
 
Ok, thanks everyone. I know all the pins for the 10/25 release (with the exception of Lonesome Ghosts) were all out and on the shelves on the 20th when I was there, but they were rack pins. I'll cross my fingers.
 
Has anyone found out the LE amount of the pin? It does not list on the Disney upcoming pin page, but in the pin description it does say "This limited edition pin...."
 
were you able to get it? Just wondering because I'm off to DLR Nov. 1 in the morning to get the opening day pin and a few others!!!
 
lets see they have the wreck-it Ralph opening day pin of course, then theres another Reel Character's Pin - Donald Applecore LE 1000. I think I might pick that up for trade, Tower of Terror Lost Key to the Disneyland Resort. Theres a Tinker Bell Vacation club pin, and a Mickey Mouse as Santa Annual Passholder Pin.

hey, just curious if anyone knows whether this pin is sold out or not? I'm planning to go later tonight and grab it, hopefully they are still in stock! It would suck to have all the WiR pins except the opening day. ;[

It took a while for the Frankenweenie Opening Day pins to sell out

It was in plentiful supply yesterday afternoon. Keeping in mind that it was a shortened hours day...

I did talk to a stocker for Pin Traders in Downtown. Anything that is NOT an LE, they can put on shelves as soon as they arrive. Those who break LE dates are subject to disciplinary actions, even if they did it by accident. So don't expect many LE's to come out early (like a few have recently) as it opens the cast member up to getting fired.

In that vein, PLEASE don't ask cast members to check if they have a LE to sell you before sell date, as they might not know the stocking rules and you are risking their job so you can get a pin early. I know that is not what we are about here. =)
 
Dalisair thanks for the clarification. I was simply wondering if they would be out early. Now I know that rack pins can be put out once received in store. I wouldn't and haven't ever asked to buy anything not out yet.

I watched people do it the other day. BEG for it. I can only imagine being the cast member that doesn't know and gets fired over it.
 
I wish I was in LA I'd like to at least have one pin. I really love king candy and of course they make one pin of him and its le 150 so sad. Just saw the movie it was so good!! Did anyone else think he had a sort of mad hatter quality? Hehehe If anyone has or is willing to pick an extra up for me please pm me!
 

lol I made the same mistake. This is the thread for the WIR Opening Day pin, not the DSF pins. The DSF pins are in a thread slightly lower than this one xP Also, yes, King Candy's design was based off of the Mad Hatter from the original Alice in Wonderland cartoon movie, not the newer live-action one by Tim Burton.

Lastly, the King Candy pin sold out already about 9 hours ago In order to find the pin now you'll have to rely on someone getting an extra (which is next to impossible considering the limit was 1 per person so most people got 1 for themselves) or refer to Evilbay. Look around the forum now is what I would recommend, you never know when you'll see that one overlooked post.
