Racks/OR/LR/LE-- interested in anything!

I'm so excited Tiana is getting her own ride, but ngl, this hurts a bit as I was already attached to these characters well before I knew what they were from. They were fuzzy friends from my childhood. )': So I'd like to bolster my Splash collection a bit.

Good luck! I was hoping to get some more as well and checked eBay but the prices for all Splash Mountain items (including pins) has skyrocketed.

I was looking at like three and they got snatched out right from under me within a minute, I was so upset. One of them was one I wanted regardless of its announced closure.

I'll jump on this band wagon.

I am specifically looking for this pin.
Walt Disney Pins, Trading Disney Pins, Value Of Disney Pins | PinPics

The crazy thing...I had it at one time, but decided to trade it away - almost instantly regretted it! LOL

Ouch! There are a few I want to get but it seems to be an uphill battle now. I may have to go to Pin Traders at Downtown Disney and snag some open racks pin soon such as that one you mentioned especially and I really would love the 'What goes up comes down' pin with the vultures.

You may want to buy them at Pin Traders as soon as possible. I think some they will become very limited as resellers buy them. Good luck buying the ones you want.

That is what I was thinking as well. I may have to go within the next few days and see what I can get. Maybe I could try and do a parks pickup for people who don't live near the parks.

Just looking to add myself to the list of people desperate to find one. My fiance got a little broken hearted because he realized that he doesn't have a pin and I just want to try and make sure he has one. If anyone comes across an extra one or can point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it! Thanks guys! :)

OMG. I went to go look at the prices and couldn’t stop laughing at some of the prices. It’s crazy.

It’s crazy! Although, when merchandizing catches on to this they’re gonna have a field day making a bunch of new merch for the parks.

I have to keep telling myself that I’m fine with what I have, I’m fine with what I have, I’m fine with what I have

My Mom worked in the shops at Splash when she first started at WDW. So we have a fond spot for the attraction. I've been wanting the WDI Anniversary set that came out a few months back, but was hoping that prices would come down a little with the economy being what it is. No chance of getting those aaannnnytime soon.

I wonder how long the madness will last. I may need to sell my small Splash Mountain pin collection. ;)

I'm sure you'll have lots of takers! May as well go for it while the hypes up ;)

But for @Randakinskywalker , @Pecosace, and others - the good thing about pins is that they have a very long shelf life. The hype will eventually come down, and the dust will settle. Prices are jacked up so much right now because of scalpers taking advantage of the panic. And, tbh, in all honesty, the quality of many splash pins could be better (in my opinion). They'll settle back down some day, so don't buy into the madness. (I say, making my own ISO thread and waiting to play the long game.)

Splashdown photos, or the Briar patch? Or both? It was always fun to interact with Merch cast during a downtime!

I would have bought some pins if they were decently priced but it is outrageous right now. I don't mind waiting but I do feel that unless the pins are always open edition in the parks that they will hold some value with it being closed.

Both. Merchandise is split into upper and lower Frontierland. If you worked in Lower, you rotated between Photos, Briar and the squeeze breeze cart outside. She didn't want to work Upper even though that's where the pin store was, because she did NOT want to make cotton candy at Prairie Outpost. She worked there from 2005-2009ish, I forget exactly what year she moved to Mickey's Gift Station.

That's true! But unlike other IP, as new generations of Disney pin collectors start up, they're not going to be as interested in Splash. Sure, it's going to be a piece of Disney history, but future markets won't feel the same nostalgia as the current market does. So eventually, I think that demand will go down. Plus, unlike a lot of other retired rides, splash has a TON of Merch and pins. There's a lot to go around for this one ride, which has always been so popular.
