I posted my pics awhile ago, as I've been trying to get my pins out of bags/binders and into frames. Most of my DL pins are now framed or on corkboards, leaving my bags to hold the Hidden Mickey pins (where the hunt is the more important part for me) and some more recent stuff that I don't have a board for. I still have to get some of the boards on the wall, but I'm getting there. See this thread:

WDW stuff is mostly still in binders but I have the AK pins on corkboards in our bedroom, most of the Hotel pins are in frames, as well as several sets. This thread was mostly about other Disney, but you can see my 4th of July pins in the Living room, pins in the upper hallway and stairwell and the closet where all the binders are.

I have other frames elsewhere with Alice pins, Dumbo pins and some other stuff. Also, I change the 4th of the July pins on the season. So during Christmas and Halloween I have those pins out instead. 4th of July is the default, because that's our anniversary so it's my primary holiday collection.
For the volume, corkboards are the best solution for being able to see stuff. But I prefer things in frames, because I'd love to have pin people come visit if we could ever get a group together in Colorado, but I'd be worried about pins walking off. And matted frames with backgrounds, just looks nicer. I don't like either bags or binders because pins have a tendency to get broken easily. I prefer binders for ease of moving pins around, although with Coroplast in the bags, it's better, but pieces get hooked in the mesh, not good.
