ZAPPED! A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words
... But I'm long winded, so here come a thousand words, some of which may have been edited out because when this all went down, many of the words I screamed were not family friendly. Some of those words were foreign. And in my shock and surprise, many words were probably not real.
"You got mail!", texted my fiance at our normal mail time. We had just gotten Disney Infinity as a wedding gift from some friends, and in their endless generosity, Darris and Angie had packed up some of their extra power disks and sent them our way. DI has become our decompressing time, since the wedding is officially 40 days away and I am going into full on meltdown mode, so I was eager to come home and play with them!
Darris texted me earlier in the day to make sure the package had arrived, and Dan even sent me a picture of my Duffy bear protecting the box. I was excited to open the box, to play the game and to have a relaxing night. After a dinner out with friends, I finally got home to crack open the box and to my surprise...
... a CHAMELEON TAPE DISPENSER! He looks just like Pascal and I have never been more excited about office supplies in my entire life.
Wrapped below my new adhesive accessory was the Disney Infinity power disk book, nearly completely filled with extra power disks for us to play with! Super excited -- except... wait a minute... one of these things...
... is not like the others.
"Sorry for putting a hole in your power disk book," says Angie. She's a riot. Dan snapped this picture before I even could tell you what happened.
I don't think I got a full message out to Darris before he says, "SURPRISE!" and Angie says she was going to give it at the Rehearsal Dinner instead, but thought this might be more clever. And boy was she right. Dan and I have been zapped, spoiled, gifted and loved by the Wax family for months now, and in my wildest dreams, even I considered this pin to be an impossibility -- it's so hard to come by and so insanely coveted. We were truly born under lucky stars to have these people as our family.
Waxes: We love you. What else can be said?? See you guys in October! <3
