Hello Everyone! I purchased a 17in Belle for $350 from a very nice seller. She already disclosed that the front portion of the box was damaged (plastic cover bent, tear on side of box, bent edges). She did not however mention that there was a missing gem on one of the top flowers on her dress or that there was a snag on the bottom of her dress. She offered a partial refund. Would would be considered fair asking? Or should I just return the doll? Thanks do much for your help!

I can't help you with the estimation of a fair partial - but considering your last question, if you should just return the doll: Answer that question first. Do you want the doll in its condition as it is, yes or no? If you don't want it and are willing to pay the return shipping (ebay?) then do this. Don't settle if you can't live with the condition.
If you DO want to keep the doll, maybe some pictures of the damage might help to think about a fair partial refund. The 'snag' could be minor or severe?
Maybe also ask yourself, if you knew of the over-all condition of the doll from the very beginning (including missing stone+snap) -> what would you have been willing to pay max? Would you have still paid $350? Or not? If you still would have paid the same price, maybe let the seller offer an amount?

all valid questions! Can you live with the doll as is? If yes, continue asking yourself those questions. If not, get your refund (minus return shipping).
If you can live with the doll as is, the minimum partial refund I'd ask would be what it would cost to return it (the shipping cost). The next questions - you'd have to figure out for yourself. what would you have paid had you known about those elements? 10% less? 15% less? or if those are small damages, would you have paid the full price?

The missing gem on the rosette is replaceable. Sewing, craft, or hobby stores should sell swarovski crystals that should match the missing gem. As for the snag, how bad is it? I agree that you should assess if you can live with the flaws on the doll and if so see what the seller is willing to offer as the refund. Depending on the severity of the snag, I would factor as much as maybe a $50 discount.

In my opinion a missing gem is not a tragedy, as it can be replaced easily and dolls often come from the factory already missing some gems... about the snag, is it really visible? If the (in my opinion) small flaws really bother you, maybe you should return the doll, as it seems to me, that you don´t love her enough, to keep her with the flaws. I mean, if I really love a doll, I don´t care about small flaws on the dress, if they are not huge of course. A picture of the snag would help to revalue the doll in deed!
