March is marching down upon us and still no news. Are they waiting for the Easter Bunny to delivery it?

well disney pulled the alice litho from the upcoming pins on their website.i bet you their releasing it now with the unevent.gosh why cant their be some type of news.disney please give us something, anything any lil detail at all would be much obliged.please.

I'd also be interested in sponsoring someone for this event. I'd pay for the pins up front. Please pm me if you think you can help me.

I'm still willing to sponsor one or two for this event. Please let me know if you are interested so I can put you in my sponsor book. I need a reliable CA connection since unfortunately I live in Florida. I know, I know, we get the big pin trading event, yeah, yeah. But for an Alice collector, even that doesn't make up for not getting an Alice event:cry::cry:

im hoping to hear some news this week, itll be april 2 before we know it.its unusual for disney not to give us any info on these upcoming releases.im now starting to wonder if their even gonna go through with the original release date,or are they putting it on backburner.

Margaret, I've still got you in mind, so the moment we hear more, I'll get whatever I can for you. =)

Can i be added to the begging line for all/most of the pins from this unevent? i've only seen pictures of a couple, but already i LOVE them! I'll need all of the pins from the animated Alice in Wonderland, and none of the live action one. I'll happily sponsor someone, or do whatever needs to be done in order to get these pins (i'll probably be begging a lot harder once i've seen them too!). And i'll pay for them up front, of course, so there's no risk to whoever helps me out (i live far away, not so easy to run down to DLR for some pins, unfortunately!).
Thanks to anyone that can help! If i can do anything to repay the favour, i'd be glad to!

I think everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath, and just relax - and get some perspective on this. First, these are just shiny pieces of metal ... while they are beautiful and addictive, they are NOT worth getting bent out of shape or stressing out over. If you are meant to own a pin, it'll find its way to you and your pin bag eventually. With everything else that you probably have going on in your life, surely there are more important things to worry about than pins? If pins are your biggest concern and source of stress, you should consider yourself most fortunate ... and stop stressing.

Second, and getting to this pin release itself, if what I recall from what was said at Trade City last year is accurate, this will NOT be an event like Sci-Fi Academy or Love is Magical. The pins simply will be released in the park, although I hope either with an online RSP or an online wristband distribution a la POH Series 2. But as for getting the pins themselves ... if you are within driving distance yourself, great. If you are out of the area, if you can work out an arrangement to have someone who is within driving distance pick up the pins for you, that works also. But if you are out of the area, I honestly don't see the point of flying/commuting out to DLR JUST for this event unless you want to come out to experience the parks anyway. With the cost of transportation, food, and lodging, it probably would be cheaper and you'd save yourself a great deal of hassle to just buy the pins on the secondary market or make a deal with someone who is close enough to buy the pins directly.

Before anyone tells me, well, that's easy for you to say, you don't want the pins ... let me just say that the Cheshire Cat is one of my main collections and I am DYING to get my hands on those pins. However, I have learned a long time ago that NO PIN, no matter how badly you want it, is worth stressing over. Disney will release the information when they get ready and not a second before. If I get my Cheshire Cat pins directly from Disney, great; if not, I'll trade for them or buy them on the secondary market. After all, isn't that why it's called pin trading?

I don't just want them all, I NEED them all. It's not so much stress as frustration. It's frustrating when there is no information so how can one possible plan anything. If I ran a business that way, I wouldn't last very long. Information is the key to success. Disney gets away with it because pins are not the main focus of the business. Sure they bring in money, but not near as much as tickets, special events, and other merchandise. I get all that, but to ignore a good sized chuck of your market is stupid. Ok, I'm off the soapbox but not less mad or frustrated. :soapbox:

Dancecat, it's great you feel you can afford pins on the "secondary" market, but some folks can't afford to pay double the price for all the pins. If you have that much money, send me some so I too can buy on the secondary market. And they aren't as easy to trade for as you think, check my wants list and see what I still need to trade to get. Disney is wrong to avoid the questions and they need to get on board with the project or cancel it.

So in closing, I do not WANT the pins - I NEED the pins - ALL THE PINS - and I MUST have them

+3. Luckily I have someone who is going to help me (hugs), but I agree about the mass chaos lol. I love my pins, adore most of them, but I dont NEED to have them.

Im with Margaret on this as I can understand how it is when a new pin comes out and your gonna need to have it if it fits a certain theme for example - El Capitan Marquee pins, PTN pins etc etc all have people needing the new releases to keep up to date and on top of what they collect.

Now I dont collect Alice but many of them collect everything from alice not a specific character like cheshire, alice, white rabbit etc so I can see why people would want to go and get them as they might simply want to go for the sake of going or for a short break away to do some pin trading.

If people want to go get the pins on day release and fly there then thats up to them as if I lived with a short 1-2 hour flight then wheres the harm, if they can afford to go then let them go and get there pins lol

I agree. If you feel you don't NEED the pins, then don't show up! Let the people who MUST HAVE THEM get them. Haha
I am certainly one of them. Cannot afford secondary market and I'll be too bitter to trade people's asking prices for them after the fact. I HAVE to get them the day of release.

ok to those who think these are just pins, just shows me that your not as into pin trading as others or your main pin theme hasnt had a big release of this magnitude yet so you dont understand the excitement of it.for me its a fun hobby i can do with my family, but its also something i do by myself for me its my hobby.i dont have the money to spend on pins in the secondary market and to trade for them,i need a min to laugh is not that easy.alice traders dont give up alice pins that easily i dont at least.so i find it a tad rude to come on a site devoted to pins to blast those who are very passionate about them.fate wont get that pin in your bag being a active trader will.so dont treat us as if we are crazy....even though most of us are.jk.i will be at the unevent, cause i wanna get me some pins!

just saw the upcoming pin releases on the blog alice pdm is supposed to be released late april, does not help comfort me about the alice pin releases for april 2nd.does anyone know if theres someone i can email or call to get some type of info.this is getting ridiculous, just let us know whats going on the sooner the better or im gonna make heads roll.hahaha.
