March is marching down upon us and still no news. Are they waiting for the Easter Bunny to delivery it?
I thought the pins were coming out April 2nd?! What is coming out in March?!
on march 10 le 1000 alice pin and litho is coming out at dlr.theres pic under my post alice litho in buy and sell,or you can check the blog.
I'm still willing to sponsor one or two for this event. Please let me know if you are interested so I can put you in my sponsor book. I need a reliable CA connection since unfortunately I live in Florida. I know, I know, we get the big pin trading event, yeah, yeah. But for an Alice collector, even that doesn't make up for not getting an Alice event:cry::cry:
+3. Luckily I have someone who is going to help me (hugs), but I agree about the mass chaos lol. I love my pins, adore most of them, but I dont NEED to have them.I think everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath, and just relax - and get some perspective on this. First, these are just shiny pieces of metal ... while they are beautiful and addictive, they are NOT worth getting bent out of shape or stressing out over. If you are meant to own a pin, it'll find its way to you and your pin bag eventually. With everything else that you probably have going on in your life, surely there are more important things to worry about than pins? If pins are your biggest concern and source of stress, you should consider yourself most fortunate ... and stop stressing.
Second, and getting to this pin release itself, if what I recall from what was said at Trade City last year is accurate, this will NOT be an event like Sci-Fi Academy or Love is Magical. The pins simply will be released in the park, although I hope either with an online RSP or an online wristband distribution a la POH Series 2. But as for getting the pins themselves ... if you are within driving distance yourself, great. If you are out of the area, if you can work out an arrangement to have someone who is within driving distance pick up the pins for you, that works also. But if you are out of the area, I honestly don't see the point of flying/commuting out to DLR JUST for this event unless you want to come out to experience the parks anyway. With the cost of transportation, food, and lodging, it probably would be cheaper and you'd save yourself a great deal of hassle to just buy the pins on the secondary market or make a deal with someone who is close enough to buy the pins directly.
Before anyone tells me, well, that's easy for you to say, you don't want the pins ... let me just say that the Cheshire Cat is one of my main collections and I am DYING to get my hands on those pins. However, I have learned a long time ago that NO PIN, no matter how badly you want it, is worth stressing over. Disney will release the information when they get ready and not a second before. If I get my Cheshire Cat pins directly from Disney, great; if not, I'll trade for them or buy them on the secondary market. After all, isn't that why it's called pin trading?
