Greetings, everyone!

Back on February 1 of 2012, I completed a long time goal of acquiring every Jessica Rabbit pin. Here's the post that goes with that celebration:

http://disneypinforum.com/showthread.php?11156-Done!&highlight=jessica

Over a year later, and I still haven't posted pictures! I swear I'm not bad, I'm just drawn (to laziness) that way!

Anyway, I am sick of the pin frames being in my living room, so starting tonight, I'll be uploading pictures to chronicle the collection! I should finish getting them up sometime tomorrow.

Before I start with pictures, here are a few details for the collection:

-Contains every pin with Jessica Rabbit in it released between 1999-2012

-Contains some of the pre-pin trading pins, as well, but I decided not to include them in my goal because of several factors, like difficulty to verify and many of them being brooch back (like jewelry).

-There are some AP/PPs in the set, but in general, I didn't go after variations of the same pin.

-The most expensive pins were $300 each, and were:
Pin 47702: Disney Auctions - Jessica Rabbit in Patriotic Gown (Jumbo) and
Pin 52791: DisneyShopping.com - St. Patrick's Day 2007 Mystery Set (Jessica Rabbit Only)

More trivia to come as people ask, or I remember!

Extras, AP/PP Sets, New Additions (post 2012), and Vintage Pins

WHEW! I think that's all of them, except the large group photo, which I'll put into the main post when I get some time to take it.

HOLY!!!! I mean...EVERY Jessica pin?!?!?!? That is ridiculous! Like someone saying "I have every Mickey or Stitch pin since ???-present" since Jessica is quite a popular person to make pins of (look at DSF, they can't STOP making pins of her). They are really nice too I have to say, but can I just say I love your frames. They really make it awesome because I love how for some of them, they make a scene (like the beach one) which is a really cool idea

I know you're on a photo taking binge right now so if you have time, is there anyway you can put a quarter next to (or on top of the glass if the pin is behind a glass) the Jessica as Cat Burglar pin? I'm really curious how big it is and as you can see in my signature, it's grail worthy ^_^

Yeah, no joke! You think this was bad, though...ds.com in 2007/2008 was out of CONTROL!

Aww, thanks! Although the retro beach one actually came like that...I just added the sand border. After I take photos, I'm actually going to re-tool quite a few of them to include all the characters I have- like St. Patrick's Day will get bigger and include Stitch, Tink, etc.

Sure! I'll try and get it up tomorrow. I can tell you that set is smaller than the later "Jessica as" pins, but they are pretty. But that's easy for me to say, 'cause I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for mine...

*bows*

I've always respected my fellow insane completists (though my area is Wonderland, not Jessica).

I hope someday to be lucky enough to finish the last few I need to call my collection complete.

That is AMAZING!!!! Your collection and display of it is wonderful ^_^! I hope to one day have every Pocahontas and beauty and the beast pins, I only collect ones which contain, belle, beast, Pocahontas and gaston though... So some what limits my search... A tiny bit.. Hahaha

   I think my heart is stopping!!! I am SO in love with your collection, completely in awe!!!! I hope to one day have a third of the Jessica collection you have there!!! Amazing!

Did the Around the World series also come like that because I'm also quite into the way that one turned out They are really nice and I know people are absolutely crazy over that Around the World set (not sure why, but I'm not a Jessica collector so what do I know)

Thank you so much! I heard it is small and I met some other Jessica collectors today who had one (she said she MIGHT have two in which case we can work out something :anxious but I'm fine with it being smaller. I prefer the bigger ones, but it is just so darn nice, I don't really care honestly haha xD

Thanks, everyone! the rest of the collection should go up this afternoon, now that I'm home from work.

No, those are actually nice and big, like the "Jessica As" stuff. That set is definitely in my top ten- I actually like it better than the Halloween or "Jessica As" pins. In fact, excluding individual pins, the only set I like as much as the World pins are the Screen Legends pins.

Very nice collection! Do you have the Hollywood set? I did not see it.

I do- as I said, the other pics will be up later today. I have one frame that's giving me fits (a Christmas one). Once I take that one, I'll upload the rest.

The scary pic will be the whole collection together...I have to find a place in the house where they can all fit together and not fall over.

I'm not a Jessica collector so what do I know, but why does it seem like those 2 sets are the most wanted Jessica sets in existence? I can understand the Screen Legends one, but the Around the World pins not so much. The Around the Worlds pins are definitely some of the nicer ones, but the nicest ones??? IDK about that one <_< As a Jessica collector, why would you think that set is just over the top?

Well, there aren't too many full Jessica sets, when you get down to it- there are a lot of 6 pin sets where Jessica is one of the pins in them. And there are a lot of high demand pins, if you're talking individual pins (the Patriotic Gown and Labor Day Cabaret pins come to mind). But when you talk about Sets/Series where Jessica is in all of them, there's:

-6 Pin Pose Set
-Christmas with Roger
-Hot Rods
-Screen legends (both)
-Around the World
-Halloween (both)
-"Jessica as..."

and a couple of minor beach series, DSF, etc.

Out of those, my favorites are World, Screen Legends, and the original 6 Pin set. As to why I, personally, think that...I dunno. I just like the art on most of them, really. In each of those sets, I find the finished look to be the best, the art is consistent, the themes appeal to me....just everything works. It always comes down to art and execution and in the World set, they nailed it for all of the pins.

As far as popularity goes- I think "Characters dressed as stuff" are some of the most popular pins, across the board, whether it's Halloween costumes, cultural costumes, or as other Disney characters. So that explains some of it. At this point, most of the rare and HTF Jessica stuff is going to go for a good price, as new collectors try and go back and fill in the holes.
