DA Masterpieces and their real-life counterparts!

Upon visiting New York recently, I was able to visit the museum of modern art, metropolitan museum of art, and the guggenheim. There I snapped pics of the works of art that the DA masterpiece pins were based on! It was simply amazing to see these works of art in person, especially when I used to collect the DA series!

The MET (metropolitan) houses Hokusai's Kanagawa, but they only showcase that print a few days out of the year due to the fragility of woodblock prints. I was unable to see it =/

I love all of these paintings and the pins inspired by them. Thank you so much for posting pictures of both the artwork and the pins - I think it's really neat to see both side-by-side. This way, you really can appreciate the details of both the original artwork and what makes these pins so special.

Very cool, earlier this year I went to the Art Institute of Chicago, I should check to see if I have pictures. I believe I took pictures of Seurat's Park on a Sunday Afternoon, and Wood's American Gothic.
