Disneystore no longer producing pins!!!!
I knew this would happen. It's their own fault for messing up orders so many times. Us complaining about how pins look or scratches probably didn't help them either. They were probably tired of dealing with the hassle. But either way I'm sad I really liked their pins

I feel like trying to organize a petition... and not just the DPF community- but the pin community as a whole. Somehow. DPF + Pinpics + Pin Talk + Whatever other pin site. Is that crazy?

scottydem, PLEASE do this, I am sure everybody will sign it, I loved the US DS pins! It's not crazy at all, PM me if you need help or anything, I will be more than happy!

it really comes as no surprise as I mostly collected the 6 piece LE 100 sets and the last of those to be released was over a year ago on Jan 17, 2011

This is some bitchassness! Disney Corporate needs to pull their head out of...well the sand. I get that kids stuff sells like wildfire, but, and I'm speaking as someone who doesn't have kids so I'm willing to concede that I might be wrong, although I don't think so, people/parents are not willing to spend as much money on kids clothes since they grow out of them so quickly as they are on something for themself or their older children who are not going to grow out of something in a few months to a year. If Disney tried to cater to adults just a little bit more, they might find that it's quite profitable. It's depressing that the only thing that Disney offers for adults in the stores are poorly made t-shirts that shrink like 2-3 sizes. And now no pins (yes I realize we're not talking about the stores). It's like Disney wants the fun to stop as soon as you hit puberty. Now that I live 18 hours away from DSF instead of a few blocks, my chance to get low LE pins to trade is nil. I think Disney really screwed the pooch on this one and I hope that they come to their senses soon. What is someone like me who doesn't have kids supposed to do? I can't afford their giclees paintings, pins were my little way to have a part of the Disney experience, especially now that I can't go to the park on a weekly basis like I did when I lived in SoCal. This is depressing.

I am saddened but not even a little surprised to read this. I think the writing has been on the wall since before the 110th legacy set began to come out. It really is a shame as it seems that now the only place to get lower edition pins directly is either DSF or a pin event. Even the LE park pins are usually at least 1000. This is kind of a bummer since ds.com kind of leveled the playing field for acquiring desirable traders to those that don't have access to DSF or parks. Now almost everyone wanting those lower releases will be at the mercy of a kind pin buddy or the 'bay.

I used to spend soo much on the disneystore online Le pins. It was so nice to get REALLY nice pins when you live far away from the parks. I have ordered stuff through Disney merch mail order, but not the LE stuff I want.

Oh how I miss the days of Disney Auctions and even the early days of DisneyShopping.com! Sooo many good times and laughs ... of course many of us were sleep deprived but hey, we're talking about pins here, lol! You know your addicted when ...

Wishing your pin dreams come true! *bjr

This news really makes me sad, although it is not surprising. It's really a shame. I enjoyed the big/detailed pins so I'm hoping that the UK at least keeps up with their pins.

It makes no sense to me why Disney would stop producing pins for the store. I've always really liked some of the ones I've gotten there.

It is really sad news. Being in OH, the disney store was about the only place to buy pins new for me.

Just having park exclusives on the site isn't the same.

This is sad, indeed. I will have to start paying more attention to the boards as I live close to the park and I am willing to help others. Ebay can be horrid (as shown by the Tangled PODM release).
