hey guys! im still new to collecting and i was just wondering what some may prefer. do you like to display all of our pins, only some of them, or keep them safely tucked away??? and how do you?
i live in a small apartment my self so i was considering a collectors pin bag (any downfall to these?)

I display all of mine that are in my collection! I frame mine in different displays. I have threads with pics floating around the forums if you want to see. Good luck with your decision. I know nothing about pin bags, so I cannot give input there.

right now, mostly in my book, put away. however, some day, as sets get "completed" I will custom frame them as much as possible. For me the cork boards just are not pretty enough, i want them framed behind glass when I finally put stuff up on the walls.

I'm constantly moving the pins around on my boards (carefully, I might add). Plus pins come in and pins go out, so boards are best for me. Plus that hallway is so long and dreary, the corkboards take up a lot of unused space.

sounds like a great way . do you like cork boards or or photo/poster frames?

Thanks! I have a Chip & Dale board, a board with all DLR rides and attractions, a miscellaneous board (in the middle). The smaller boards are Princesses and Stitch. The license plates above have DCA rides and attractions.

Display all the way! I use shadow boxes, photo frames, and cork boards. I have a fancy cork board covered with fabric and the others are temporary until I complete sets.

i love seeing them out!

I have my collection framed and mounted in the computer room/office along with my books, military plaques, and dorky stuff. The rest of my place is pin free and classy... I keep the door locked to the office when people are over.... I'm a closet pin trader though...

I'm contemplating buying a couple of shadow boxes in he next few days, to work on a display for my UP pins...some of them are so beautiful and were so tough to find I feel its a shame hiding them in a box or bag, seeing I'm never going to part with them, I thought I may as well display them. It will be a daily reminder that anything is possible!! A couple of years ago, I never thought I'd own the pins I do now, so it will nice to look at them everyday Goodluck with your display should you decide to do one

I have all of mine on one bord right now, however I plan to separate them up and have lion king ones on their own. Would be a shame to keep them all locked away. However I would keep traders in a bag/book.

Some displayed on cork boards. Some framed (mounted on black). Some in bags. <sigh> Eventually I want to get all my best pins displayed under glass.

Display! I didn't spend all this money to have it hidden!

Right now I have 15 larger cork boards and 3 smaller boards in my 'office' (if it wasnt such a mess from scrapbooking Id post pictures) I have the boards painted in various bright tropical colors with black frames so it adds color

Definitely display them if you can. We have our pins on stretched canvas hanging on the walls in the bedroom of our apartment. The canvases are covered in black fabric to make the pins "pop", and it also hides all the tiny holes we make in the canvas. It's easy to re-organize them that way, and easy to put them up and take them down to wear too.

Technically I both display and keep them tucked away! I have my keepers displayed on 2 cork boards beside my desk and my traders are kept in a binder in trading card pages so they do not get scratched or damaged. Maybe because you live in a small apartment you could have a small cork board or shadow box to display your favourite pins in and then keep the rest in a pin bag I don't own a pin bag so I couldn't tell you the downsides to it but the only one I can think of is you can't see your pins unless you open it!

I just recently put most of my pins on a corkboard. Not all of my pins fit though, so some of them are still in a book, lol. I don't really have any extra space yet for more than one corkboard, so it'll be a while before I can display anymore.
