Online wristband registration has now opened for the Star Tours 2.0 Opening Day Pin for DLR.....



The pin will be released on Thursday June 2, 2011 at Little Green Men Store Command. 500 people will be chosen to buy a maximum of 2 pin per person. Winners will be notified around May 26, 2011.

I don't think they are doing a pin event but they do have a Little Mermaid ride opening day pin. No wristband is needed to purchase that one, though. There is a cast member one as well.
 
I was told that the WDW Star Tours Opening Day pin sold out on the first day.

They also displayed a D23 Star Tours pin to be released at the D23 Expo in August.

Better question - did anyone not get one? All of the people I know who registered for it got a wristband. Seems a bit odd, making it seem like a contest if everyone gets it anyways.
