To all who have become part of the Disney Pin Forum family: thank you.
Since its inception one year ago, DPF has strived to continue to support the Disney pin trading and collecting community. Whether in Disney parks, online, or in local trading communities across the world, our forum members have helped spread not just news and information about Disney pin collecting, but the inherent fun, joy, and love as well. Collecting of any kind can be a selfish act, but the generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others, displayed every day on our forums, never ceases to amaze.
In the past year, we have always sought to improve our forums by keeping our members in mind. Walt Disney once said, “You don't build it for yourself. You know what the people want and you build it for them.” With members’ ideas, we’ve implemented features like direct links to Pin Pics in posts, a chatroom for members to gather, plenty of giveaways, and DPF member pin swaps like last year’s Secret Santa (coming back this year!) We understand that not everyone has a chance to attend Disney trading nights or other pin events, so we have done our best to photo-document these gatherings. For events that moderators are unable to attend, you can always count on fellow DPF members to share their photos. These features serve to bring the community closer together, but are by no means the end of great things we plan on adding to the site.
Look for more guides coming to the Pin Guides & FAQs forum. Most pin guides are old news to more experienced traders, but newcomers to the Disney collecting community can easily benefit from the concise information, and it’s these newbies who will help the community grow and continue our pin traditions. We’ve also just implemented an upgraded chat capable of hosted chat events, more moderation abilities, and more customization. The giveaways will, of course, keep coming, and hopefully, with your help. DPF will be opening a donation period for kind souls willing and able to help with operation costs. We do still have a few lanyards for sale, but keep a look out for new DPF logo items to help you spread the word about the community and help identify other DPF members in person at events!
So, looking back at the past year, there’s a lot to be grateful for. Sure, we’ve been through the ups and downs typical of every online forum, but guess what. By the grace of all the good that comes from this community, we’re still here. The passion created by pin traders about our shiny pieces of painted metal is only possible because of the privilege and means of every collector. As pin traders and collectors, not everyone gets to do what we do, and for this, we are endlessly thankful. And as proud moderators of Disney Pin Forum, we are thankful for our members and the support they continue to give each other.
Here’s to another year and the hope that DPF will continue to be a source of good for the Disney pin trading and collecting community.

I know this is WAY! late but I wanted to say it to HAPPY ANNIVERSRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys are the best you have halped me so much understand the pin world and I am still learning thank you to the administrators charter members and all the nice people on here! I feel very welcome here now! and I am looking forword to many years to come!
