Hi guys, my name's Rayna and I've recently started getting back into pin trading and collecting. I never realized how many super amazing pins were out there and I just want them all! I hope to share my passion with all of you. I noticed most people post their most wanted pins or "grails" so I thought I'd tell you that my grail is the PODM Steamboat Willie Pin with a scene of him whistling or smiling at the wheel. I have such a soft spot for him and that cartoon! People on eBay sell them for so much so I'm afraid I may never get it :/

Anyways I'm super excited to be here and learn my way around :)

Hello the the DPF Family Rayna. We're glad you're here.

I have a Steam Boat Willie pin for sale. The scene is of Pete and Mickey.

Let me know if you're interested.

Warmest Regards,
Connie G.

Thank you!

I actually found it on another site for $50 but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out if its worth it. I've never spent that much on a pin before :/ anyone have any advice they could share?

Hello and welcome Rayna! Usually when I'm wondering if a pin is worth the price I check ebay sold listings to see what it usually goes for. In your case, the scene you mentioned seems to go for close to $50 (it's gone for lower, but recently most of them have sold for BIN prices of 40-50).

I have no idea if this pin is one that will appreciate in value. It does seem like the scene you want is a common scene, so it might be worth waiting...? But then again, I'm not one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to pins so you might want a second opinion :)

Thanks for your advice! I looked and similar scenes have sold for between $37 and $52 in the past. So I'm still unsure if $50 is too much for it. I'm not looking for it to necessarily appreciate in value because I'll be keeping it forever its just a matter of the money right now. I asked the seller if they'd consider a best offer made and they said no.
