Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new to the Pin Forum. My name is Chelsea and I just recently started getting a bit more serious about pin trading. I went to WDW for the first time this past Christmas with my family and had a blast! I didn't know much about pin trading, but thought it was really fun to do trades with cast members. Afterwards, my sisters discovered just how "big" pin trading is. After months of seeing all their beautiful pins (and a second trip to WDW), I finally caved and started my own collection, which features mostly Brave (Merida is my favorite princess), The Lion King, Ariel and Anna/Frozen.

I'm really excited to learn more about pin trading, though I'm feeling a bit intimidated by it. Like most newbies, I do have concerns about what to do, getting scammed, spending too much money, etc. So any help, advice and general friendliness will be greatly appreciated! :)

EDIT: Oh my gosh! I just realized that we're both from Maine! Finally, another Maine pin trader!

Yeah, there's so much to learn, but plenty of time to do so! You'll definitely learn a lot as you go and experience new things in the hobby! Just take your time! Plenty of helpful members are here to answer your questions!

Although I don't live there now, I lived in Maine for seven years and would move back there in a heartbeat. (A lot of my family is there too, so I visit quite often.)

This forum has a lot of really really really great resources about pins and pin trading (like fakers and scams) and everyone so far has been uber nice. The prices of some of the pins that go on here are a little scary, (okay a lot of scary,) but for me at least that has furthered my appreciation for this hobby.

Although I am not a senior member on this forum, if I can ever do anything for you, please let me knows :)

Hi Chelsea, and welcome to DPF! I'm new here myself (just joined about a week ago), and have found the members here to be both friendly and helpful. I've been a bit overwhelmed by all the information here as well, but I've been taking my time and even re-reading some threads just to get the info to 'stick' better in my head. :)
Anyhow, welcome aboard!

Welcome to DPF! :- ) I'm pretty new here too but the forum is full of great resources and friendly people. Never be afraid to just send someone a PM asking silly questions, from my experience they will always help you out! :- )
