Hi, New Here
Hi just introducing my self. I'm Jesse and I've been collecting Disney Pins since my first trip to WDW when I was 9. I saw alot of people walking around with lanyards full of what I thought were badges of achievement. I wondered how one earned these. Until I saw them for sale at the gift shop in our hotel. The woman behind the counter was very kind and explained to me that they were pins and could be traded. I happened to see a pin on her lanyard that I wanted. (A That Darn Cat pin) She said she would hold it for me while I went to buy a pin to trade for it. I found a pin and came back, bought it and traded for the pin I really wanted. I thanked her and both me and my mom thought that would be it, that I had gotten a nice trinket to take home. Then the woman said she had somthing for me to get me started pin trading. She pulled out a large zip lock bag full of pins and hands me the whole bag! She explained that these were pins she had found lying around the store that had been dropped and no one had claimed. There were at least 30 pins in the bag and she said I could have them all! And thats how I got hooked. It was not until my next WDW vacation that I got a lanyard so I cept all the pins on my shirt. I was a tiny little thing so it looked like I was wearing chain-mail.
