Hi ya, love your name @BazookaJoe. I absolutely love when new folks ask this question.
Personally, I would start off writing a list of your favorite things to do, eat, and see at the parks along with favorite movies and characters. I started out with a few small collections of favorite movies and characters.... Pandemic hit... now I've got waaaaay too many pins of things I don't really collect but will be keeping until I truly purge. It's not a pretty sight if I'm honest.
Don't fall into FOMO - a pin can always be acquired through patience and time. Try to focus on obtaining pins you can get at retail or as near to retail as possible.
There's a large list of tips and tricks to help you get started but I think your new friends here on the Forum have given a good start so far. Please continue to ask questions as they come up.
