Those are beautiful!
Great news on being able to get your grail pins Congrats!!
Two updates tonight. First things first, I decided to build myself a small shadowbox for the new Walt Disney Legacy of a Dream booster set that I bought from the lovely Jadestarr last week. This shadowbox is smaller than my others - 6" x 6", and while I only have four pins in here, there's easily room for at least two or three more. I just like keeping collections together, haha.

I'm clearly not great at photography, but I've also had a lot of cold medicine tonight, so pretend this shot is a winner. The pins are all shaped like suitcases, and I wanted to carry that vintage-y look through the shadowbox. The background paper is a very antique looking brown paper with off white damask print. There's a luggage tag in the middle with an orange ribbon that reads, "I hope we never lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
I chose orange as my contrast color for the roses, gemstones and ribbon as it was Walt's favorite color.
Next up, a commission I really don't want to part with for the fabulous Rasputin. This shadowbox is for his Designer Disney Princess collection (sob sob) and I love him, which is the only reason why I am sending him this and won't keep it for myself. I'm very proud of this one.

The front glass panel of this shadowbox is hinged, and the door opens and closes so it's very easy to add pins. The backing paper is pink, with a very faint gold glow... and the print looks nearly identical to the background used on all of the Designer Disney Princess merchandise. The frame is decorated with white and pink paper flowers and pearls and on the inside, there are two metal flowered frames in the corners, featuring more flowers. I wanted something really feminine and glamorous for the beautiful pins this shadowbox will house, but I also wanted to pay homage to the beautiful packaging and design used in all of the merchandise.

I hope he loves this one. This was really a labor of love, from choosing at heme to selecting the right paper and colors and finally assembling it.
That's all! Who's next??
Oh! These are beautiful!
