I know I have been MIA for the months of May/June, but I promise, I had MANY good reasons!!! ;) We have had a LOT going on and I have quite a bit of exciting news/things to share!!! New pins, new dolls and exciting news!!! :wiggle:

As many of you know, my birthday was May 2nd, and since then, I feel like we have been going non-stop! I turned 33 this year! :) It wasn't anything special, just another day! Haha! Had dinner with the family and the was the extent of the celebrations!

We went to the Smokey Mountains for a family vacation in mid-May; we had a great time, it was gorgeous!!!

(Most of my vaca pictures are on my actual camera, so just sharing a couple here for now, but will have more later!)

Kevin's birthday was at the end of May, the 30th, and we spent it on Chicago! We went to a fancy dinner at The Signature Room on the 9th floor of the Hancock Building!!! :)

AND...

ON Kevin's birthday...

Kevin and I got ENGAGED!!! :hsd: :wiggle: :hsd:

Kassidy, my niece, had her very first dance recital on Kev's birthday too!!! :) She is SO adorable!!!

I FINALLY got my 17" Coronation Anna doll and am SUPER ecstatic about her...I'm in LOVE!!! :hsd:

I think that sums up May... ;)

In June, Kevin and I went to the Dayton Disneyana Expo, and I had the incredible privilege of FINALLY meeting Tony & Cherrie, Becca & Kyle, and Linda...as well as many other extraordinary people who are not on DPF!!! :hsd:

I did in-person trading for my FIRST time!!! :wiggle: Absolutely loved it!!! And I came home with some OUTSTANDING goodies...including TWO WDW Authentic Security Officer Badges, the Medicom Jessica Rabbit Vinyl Doll AND.... (drumroll please)

A drawing of Jessica Rabbit done by Alex Maher; I had the honor of meeting him, watching him draw Jessica and many others, and getting my drawing personalized!!! :hsd: :eek2: :hsd:

(Silver Mary Poppins Spoon)

I have a bunch more pictures of Alex drawing and of different characters he drew if anyone is interested!!! :)

We just finished helping my mom move into her new (to her) house...she is finally a home owner!!! :wiggle:

And to wrap up my LONG update here...my surprise gift for doing some free work for a friend!!! :hsd: She should arrive today!!! :D

Hope to catch up with you all, and sorry for the lengthy thread!!! ;)

I will be closing and redoing my sales and trades threads in the next few days...time to really start trying hard to get the money I need to purchase WDW passes for our Orlando trip in September!!! :x:

Wow! Thanks for sharing! Some super exciting things in a short space of time, Many Congratulations! Those caves look amazing!

Yaaay engagement! What a lovely ring. Simple, yet stunning. Congrats to you and Kevin! And your niece is absolutely adorable. Those dresses make them look like little Elsas. And it looks like you guys got like, bts access. Very cool!

What wonderful news! Engagement, birthdays, vacation.....Wow....you've been busy! Congratulations! And congrats on all your beautiful new goodies! Hopefully I will make next year's Dayton event - maybe I'll see you there!

Congrats!

Beautiful ring!

Our wedding rings were similar. No stones. Totally plain white gold. For our 6th Anniversary, my husband and I bought the rings we had wanted (but couldn’t afford)--mokume gane rings by George Sawyer. He layers and then folds various metals so it looks like wood (mokume gane means wood-grained metal), then slices it. The folds change in the stack, so they’re mirror-image and the only two with that exact pattern.

Thank you SO much everyone!!! :hsd: So very excited to share this with my friends here!!!

The caverns were really awesome!!! :) I have a lot more pictures of them if you or anyone else wants to see...just didn't want to overload my first post more than I already did!!! They are called the Forbidden Caverns, named because an Navtive American Indian princess died in them and the Native Americans took it as a sign from the God's that the place was forbidden! :) There were also bootleggers that used the caverns during those days, they had to climb up and down a very narrow opening which lead down into the caverns (as did the indians); they still have the passage way where you can see how people used to enter the caverns, and there are still remnants of the old bootlegging equipment left down there!!! :D It took the authorities 23 years to find the bootlegging operations because of have vast the cave system is underground and how difficult it was to enter! :eek2:

Congratulations!! Gorgeous ring and love the dessert plates. What a packed couple of months! :)

I thought it was super cool how they decorated our plates for us there!!! :wiggle: They helped make the day very special!!! :)

And yes Mr. Sneaky  I did find an extra Jessica in my bin!!! :suspect: Thank you SO much Tony!!! I sent you a text thanking you, but my "smart"phone is NOT always so smart; so who knows if it made it from me to you?!? Haha!

Thanks SO much Vixy!!! :hsd: It means a lot to me!!!

Also, I didn't mention...I did not get the Roger Rabbit drawing. :) One of the new friends I had met at the expo was also a WFRR collector (SO jealous of her collection!!!) So we made a deal...she did not bid on Jessica and I did not bid on Roger, that way we each got one!!! :wiggle:
