What type of pin do you really just not like?
Thanks for the input all! I agree with a lot of these. I DO like hinged pins though. I like to fiddle with them, open and close lol. Makes me feel like a little kid lol.

I also don't really care for the vinylmation pins... I don't mind the dates pin, but they're not my favorite. I'll usually get one date pin when I actually go to WDW for memories sake.

I don't mind dates on pins so much, but I don't care about the annual "20xx" pins that recycle the image. Dioramas, dangles, bubbles, and others that break easily are pins that I just don't bother with.

I do not like:

Vinylmation - excluding the new popcirn vinylmation. i think those are kinda cute

Hinged pins

Dangle pins

Movement pins

Pins with actual pictures

2 questions, What is a bubble pin? Why do so many people hate pins with words on them? Also, I dislike the pins with plastic stuff on them.

Moments like these are where I'm so glad that I'm very particular about my pins because if not, my Wants would be in the 5 digits Anyways, I don't like pins that have any of the following traits:

- Words to express events or dates, not logos (unless you signify an event that describes my life, words are an immediate turn off)
- Being too colorful (I'm talking the new Disney Dreams line colorful)
- Being too old where you come with the old gold clasps and have that gold waffle backing
- Being Jumbo (special exceptions, I have yet to see any)
- Having pictures from the movie on it
- Being a dangle pin
- Too much rubber (Free D element) on the pin
- Having too many pointy edges
- Having a plain opaque background that surround the image of the pin
- A pin that is a plain geometric shape (square, circle, triangle, etc.)
- Pins that are too small (smaller than HM or PTD)

Yup...while I do make some special exceptions out of that list, the exceptions are far and few between >_<

I don't care for pins with dates or words. Vinylmations are too much the same to me. Rubber and plastic bits make the pins seem cheap. And I don't really like backgrounds at all! So... basically I just like silhouette pins.

Don't hate me... But I'm not a fan of most marquees. I feel a lot of the designs are kind of plain and boring. Also, I think Vinylmation pins are creepy. I only want the Fantasia ones.

I've always HATED Free D pins, I think they look cheap and the rubber gets dirty easily and after a while I guess the rubber dries out and starts chipping. FUGLY. Having said that, I've been "forced" to buy a few because of the pin's theme or characters that fit into my collection.

Anything with Goofy. Don't like him, never have (even as a little kid I never liked him). Of course, I have a lot of pins with him because he's with the Fab 4/5, etc. I can only think of one (old, Valentine's Day) pin I have with just him on it, it was just such a cute pin design.

Vinylmations. Specifically the ones that look like they are Free D. I have a few of the regular pin type, but only because they are of characters I like.

Pins with Disney characters dressed up as other characters, or on pins of attractions. For example: I collect Indiana Jones Adventure pins, but I will NOT ever get the ones of Mickey dressed as Indy on the ride, or holding the whip, etc. I'm fine with characters *riding* the attraction.

Pins that have *just* the year on them. If it has a holiday or event (that I went to) with the date, okay, but not the ones with a character and the date; I notice a lot of those are booster (starter) sets, and they end up all over CM lanyards. Luckily the designs on those are pretty dull, just of the character smiling or whatever. Zzzzz...

I do like dangle, hinged, and other movement pins, but am really careful with them. I think a lot of them are nice designs.

Free-D pins get dirty very easily but I don't mind them. I do not like this pin series. This does not look like Jasmine and her neck and arms are just...odd. It freaks me out

I like all pin styles, but HATE FREE-D! Most of the time it falls out!! Pls Disney, get rid of the "rubber / plastic" Free D.

This, 100,000,000%

I hate free-d. Even tho I have pins in my collection and on my want list, I have traded for a few that I didn't know had the free-d element on them (it wasn't listed on PinPics...grrr...I did remedy that on a couple of listings). Hate free-d. Did I mention I hate free-d?????

I'm not fond of dangles or 3D pins, just because of their fragility.

I'm also not very fond of pins with holiday names, years, etc on them.

I do, however, love the pin you used as a picture on the OP.

I can't stand pins that have bizarre pin-on-pin elements, like bubbles or free-d, and I don't like anything with moving parts. This includes dangles, spinners, hinges or sliders. This is a slight problem seeing that some of the pins I need to complete certain collections have these blasted elements. I'm sort of a completest, I can't leave these pins out, but I hate trying to figure out how to display them given these annoying features.

Also, unpopular opinion, I'm bloody tired of couples pins. I get that the majority of Disney's films involve some form of romance, but I would prefer individual character pins or a group pin featuring all the characters, not just the main couple. Releasing something special for Valentine's Day, sure, go ahead, but it'd be nice to have more pins of solo characters. For example, I like Cinderella, not so much her prince. I like Aladdin, not Jasmine. Big fan of Donald, don't care for Daisy. Love Jane, not too enamored with Tarzan.

ClaudWin, I love (and have) that princess series! So funny...I'm not a princess collector so much, but I really liked that design and traded for all of them when they were released.

Dangles and rubber elements are a pain.
I love most hinged pins, though.

Can't stand Stitch pins - and continuously am amazed at how popular they are.

Irritated to no end with open edition pins that command $500 bucks because the wants get so high. It's just ridiculous. It's all about a cycle - many, I've bought off the rack years ago for original price and now seeing what they command is just silly.

... D:

My boyfriend and I like vinylmation. He collects Vinylmation pins!

I mean, they're not the BEST pins... but... I don't think they're the worst! I think the ones that are really bad are the pins with messed up / bad artwork.

I would like to see a framed set of vinylmation pins! It would make me happy because they would all match!
