This is a work in progress. I took a singing Elsa and took off her paint. She's repainted to look like Anna during the end of Frozen.

Some updates! I finally got to redoing my Nordic Anna's hair today to look more like her Coronation Hairstyle to gear up for making her dress this summer.

I also got my Nordic Anna's outfit snowed up a little bit, but it's not really sticking to it, so I'm gonna have to use fixative on it.

Fantastic job on Anna's hair! That's a complicated enough style on a human head, I can't imagine on a doll. How did you fix the hair in place? Tiny elastics? Glue? I'm very interested to see how the outfit looks with snow too!

I think it's so incredibly brave whenever someone does a serious mod to an LE - even as a lifelong deboxer, I think I'd have a heart attack :p

Superglue. I had to put it in all the right places too, since it dried in a white film over random parts of her hair. I combed through that bit. At first I tried tacky glue, but it was too thick and wouldn't dry fast enough if I added any water. I took off a huge chunk of her hair... I was having so many anxiety attacks during it, not sure if it was going to turn out the way I wanted or not. So, she's permanently in that hairdo. When I'm finally done with the snowed up outfit, I'll post pics. It's still a work in progress right now...

Wow! Her hair looks great. That sounded like quite a risk but it came with quite a reward!

Ahhh it's perfect! I've been working on my Belle repaint forever! Her lips just never please me, haha. I'm also making a custom blue dress for her because I loathe the dress she came in.

And for all you amazing repainters out there, how do you get chalk pastels to stick? I tried wetting them and using a brush but it doesn't show very well and I was hoping to do some shading.

Try the watercolors from Crayola. The student ones that come in flip cases. You could also use fixative on her face once you get a desired effect.

everybody is so talented, i wish i was so talented i want to buy them all (i know many don't sell their dolls) I love that anna and elsa got their mother. I would love to see all the dolls with custom made parents!

@chubs191. awesome new hairstyle *__*
@queen elsa: you can use mr super clear for example but be carefull when you spray it cause it's toxic; you need a breathing protection and only spray outside your appartment!

i'd love to share the meg i did for an awesome friend of mine x3

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post this here, but I don't know much about dolls and the customizing hobby!

Does anyone take commissions on repaints/altering doll hair here? Or know of anyone good who does commissions outside of this forum? I am thinking of getting the LE 1000 Calhoun doll, but I really would love to get her face and hair redone to look more like she does in the WIR movie!

I do art as well, but I don't dare trust my skills with a $300 doll, lol!

Hey, this will probably sound crazy, but has anyone tried modifying the designs on the plastic for the 17" dolls? Like, is the white just painted on, or is it somehow fused into the clear plastic? Basically I'm hoping to remove the LE number (and possibly paint a new one) for a custom cover. Any thoughts are much appreciated!

Meritre, this pattern is looking cool! I like this one.

Here is not my ooak doll(made by Ul'yana Petrenko). This Ariel doll is the best Ariel doll which I have ever seen!
